Saving the universe from eggification

Sophie

Sophie sighed and leaned back.

She had had a very challenging few days, between running around trying to keep the citizens of Gravity Falls safe, dealing with her psychopath unicorn kinda-cousins (arriving just in time to pull apart the fighters and give her cousins a strong lecture about kindness), and fending off questions from Mabel, Dipper, Soos, Wendy (she had heard from Soos at 3 am. Sophie felt for her) AND the Stans.

The summer was almost over, and soon she would be able to ask Ford about the barrier, or even just melt into the forest and come back as some other person, who would ask Ford then. All options.

Suddenly, a tear opened in the sky, and Sophie couldn't help but get so close to swearing in surprise. The worst had happened.

The demon was coming, and she had to protect the universe. She got this... tugging feeling, trying to persuade her to go, to... what, fight Bill? That sounded right.

What if the reason she was trapped here was so that she would be here, now, to save the universe from weirdmageddon?

She would have to think later. She sprung into the underbrush to begin assembling her army of the creatures even Ford had no idea were waiting in the forests, already in fox form.

Her heightened senses caught a whiff of Keefe when she ran past the Mystery Shack. Hoping he was safely inside, she sent several of the more common creatures to go and make sure everyone inside was safe.

Her team began to prepare and march towards the floating pyramid. Sophie gave a rather sensible pegasus the job of leading the group, then split off and turned back into her disguise.

Soon.

Soon she would be able to be herself again. The next time she looked up, the giant pink crystal bubble was gone, and she was hidden well, watching for the right time to move forward.

Sophie nodded off but abruptly woke again when a giant, mechanized Shackbot went thudding past her hiding spot.

The magical creatures were working together to distract or knock out Bill's cronies, barely getting injured in the process. Teamwork.

Sophie levitated up to one of the crevices of the pyramid and hid.

Since Bill and his cronies were fighting the Shackbot or unconscious under the now-retreated forest forces, they didn't notice what Sophie had.

There were several people parachuting into the pyramid, including someone who made Sophie's heart leap into her throat.

Why hadn't Keefe left? He had seen the warning she had scratched, hadn't he? Ugh. He was stubborn, but Sophie had had no idea exactly to what extent until now.

She watched in awe and more than a little terror as Bill discovered that the legs of the Shackbot were completely vulnerable to his attacks. Soon, he was looming over the only people left in the lair.

Sophie had to hold onto the doorway at the look on Bill's face. Her grip was trembling in rage, not fear, though.

Not only at the stupid dorito, but at the fact that the citizens of Gravity Falls who had been a part of the prophecy had let arguments get in between them and their goal of SAVING THE UNIVERSE FROM IMPLODING , EXPLODING, TURNING INTO AN EGG AND BECOMING AN INTERDIMENSIONAL PLAYGROUND FOR DEMONS!

At least Keefe, Mabel, Dipper and Wendy were trying to break the fight up before Bill came.

Sucking in a breath, Sophie stepped into the doorway and called out to the one being that had haunted the back of her nightmares for as long as she could remember, never showing his true form until now.
