part 3 • sams chapter

i woke up to my sister playing loud music, i yelled at her and told her to lower the volume, but she ignored me. i walked in her room and shut off the music, "hey! what the hell?" omg she is dramatic. "i told you to shut it off!" I yelled, lol.

i went downstairs to grab a some breakfast, my mom leaves for work so me and my sister have to cook ourselves. i grabbed some bread out of the fridge, and grabbed the toaster, "want me to drive today or are you?" she said. "I think I might stay home, or-" she cut me off "uhm, no. we have to go. mom said." harper said.

I finish my breakfast, and go get dressed. i tried to wear something cute for picture day, so i throw on some jeans, a blue shirt, and i curl my hair. i haven't heard or seen simon in the past week after the incident, but I have a feeling him and cassandra have been hanging out.

I hop in the car waiting for harper, we decided I should drive. "any word from simon?" harper asked me. "what? yeah of course. we've been talking nonstop all week." I lied.. only because if she found out she would tell her friends, and rumors would spread.

we arrive at school, and i see another new girl, her locker happens to be right by mine. I ask her her name, "oh, i'm jade." she must be shy, because i could barely hear her. "oh cool, i'm sam." i said. "so, uh do you know where history is?" she asked me. "oh yeah i'm headed there now." i told her.

we walked to class and i asked her a few questions, she's from arizona and she has a brother named eli. we got to class and i see simon and cassandra for the first time in a week, they were holding hands, until i showed up then they quickly took them apart. i wasn't angry, at least i thought i wasn't.. I happen to sit behind simon, because we picked our seats last year.

while we were in class simon texted me.
- I wanna talk later, is that cool? -
- yeah, sure. -
- okay, meet in our old spot? -
- 👍 -
it was a normal text, nothing to special.

after class i took jade to the vending machines, we got some cookies that were really delicious
"so wanna go to this party tonight?" I asked. "yeah that sounds fun." she laughed. the bell rang and it was my free period. i told jade that I would see her after her class, we parted and i went to mine and simons old make out spot.

"what?" I asked.

"i wanted to talk." he said.

"well then talk." i said.

after talking with simon, he had decided that we should fully break up. i was so upset, I was crying a lot so i went to the locker rooms to clean up. i walk in and who do i see? you already know.

"what are you doing in here?"

"omg, are you okay?" cassandra said.

"yes. i'm fine." i told her.

"can you just go? you've already done enough." i said.

"did i do something? i really have no clue why you are always mad at me. i don't want to start anything, but i want to know, really." cassandra said.

"just go! okay, do you understand that?" i yelled

she walked out, i started crying, like a lot. i didn't know what to do, so i called my sister. she got the car and pulled onto the curb and we drove home. she asked me what was wrong, but i ignored her. jade walked to my house and asked me if i wanted to go to that mall, i said sure even though i wasn't feeling the best.

on the drive there i ended up telling jade the whole story, "holy crap dude, i'm so sorry."

i just laughed, "yeah, it's cool or whatever." jade wasn't some, fake ass new girl. jade was, i don't know, my best friend now? yeah i guess.

"oh shit, it's steve harrington." i said.

"do you know him or something?"

i laughed, "yeah he and i dated in 3rd grade, and i got drunk with him a few weeks ago, but he's like my best friend. 😂"

"hey, stupid, want some free ice cream? me and robin got it covered. 😉" steve said stupidly.

"hi, i'm jade." jade shyly said.

"oh, steve you are gonna have a new competition, you know fighting for the ladies." i said.

"oh, uh, what?" jade laughed.

after that we got some ice cream, it was delicious, i got rocky road, it's my favorite. jade got mint chocolate chip, my second favorite.

we looked in a bunch of stores and tried a few things on, jade even got her hair done, nothing to special, she just died her hair. she eventually told me i could call her once she got home, because she was getting tired. i told her okay, and i took her home.

once i got home, i took a long shower. after my shower i got dressed and put some sweats on, my mom yelled at me, because i was still grounded.

it was dinner time, so i went and grabbed my plate, and tried to sneak it upstairs, but my mom caught me walking up. "woah, get your ass down here. bad enough you are grounded, now you are trying to sneak food in your room, which i am talking about the room that is not allowed to have food in."

"I'm sorry!" i yelled back at her, she was just on my last nerve. i honestly wish she had died instead of my dad. i literally hate her so much.

after dinner i walked up to my room and grabbed my remote off of my side table, i turned on a movie and started to get ready for bed. i told jade i would call her, but i was to tired, so i texted her good night and told her i would see her in the morning.

i woke up to this loud bang downstairs, it was 12:42 am so i was half asleep. it was my mom and some guy! i was so pissed, "mom! what the actual hell! you told me you weren't going to date after dad died." i ran upstairs, and crawled in bed. i was crying in my bed and i couldn't sleep for the rest of the night.

i finally got to sleep, until i heard a knock on my window..
