First Battle

while outside, Archer of Gold, also known as Artemis asked to meet Bell's servant Atalanta and talk.

Atalanta:"... goddess"

Artemis:" worry not, I'm not here to fight... I'm here to talk"

as the 2 were talking, Bell and Celdia were watching from a safe distance so they can't hear, though, they can't help but worry about the situation altogether anyway, at least, Bell couldn't anyway.

Bell:" should we be worried"

Celdia:" no, not for the time being at least, if anything, Artemis isn't telling her master about Atalanta being at our disposal, so for now, we do as she says, besides, as a goddess, if I fight her, I and Atalanta would get killed immediately if we fight foolhardy"

Bell:" I don't think Artemis will tell on Atalanta, in their legend, Artemis took Atalanta under her care so I think she sees herself as Atalanta's mother even if only a little, so she won't do anything that will hurt Atalanta or at least not do anything that is dirty and underhanded to her"

Celdia:" I think we can be sure of that fact, however, I don't think she will hold back once we have to fight her, they both are here cause they have a wish for the grail, so they're going to face one another sooner or later"

Bell:" yeah, both of them have a wish they are willing to fight under a master for, so I don't think either will back down from getting it"

after about an hour, Atalanta returned to explain that while Artemis will keep her mouth shut, it may be wise for Atalanta to stay hidden since there are many who may find her if they are careless, also, the fact that Artemis did say while she will not attack Atalanta in a blind attack, she will face her when the time comes so they can't call Artemis an allied just yet, so Bell heeded the advice, and now, he was in his room as he tried to sleep but couldn't, every thought he had in his head was racing so fast he couldn't keep up with it and he couldn't sleep because of it, he had so many question's and no answers for any of them, and Celdia noticed and then sat on the bed he was sleeping at, putting her butt near Bell's face to talk which made Bell blush as he turned away.

Celdia:" do you know what you're going into... once we set out to battle... we will have to fight and kill or we will die, that is our only option"

Bell:"... why am I here... of anyone else, why am I here, I don't want to kill anyone, and I don't want to hurt anyone"

Celdia:"... in life, you are sometimes forced to do thing's you don't want to, even in your home, are you or anyone completely sure you won't be forced to kill anyone, from what I gathered in your memories, people say you shouldn't be an adventurer because your so nice, people like that should burn in the dept's of the underworld as they admitted they are horrible sinner's who would kill for their own benefit above all else from my point of view, however, the point is, even if you did go home, how are they or anyone sure it won't be attacked... and you won't be forced to fight and kill just to stay alive... and also, what right did they have in calling you out like that"

many adventures who thought this of Bell flinched as Celdia burned them all, especially the elves who had high respect for her, including Riveria who felt shame for questioning Bell's actions and motivation up to this point.

Celdia:" it's not that you did anything, it's just that... it happened, 90 percent of life is facing the unexpected and handling it the best you can, the only thing in life that is a guarantee is that you will one day die, so tell me... do you want to die here"

Bell:"... no, I don't want to just... die here and now, but to kill others just so I can live..."

Celdia:"... here, scooch over"
