BanG Dream! Awe of She (Yukina Minato x Male Reader)

Chapter 1

"Alright, we'll be up soon. Are you guys ready?" I asked the members of my band, Tonitrus, trying to get them hyped up.

After three years of playing, the band I helped create has become good enough to be invited to the Hakka Music Festival, a music event where promising bands from around Tokyo are invited to perform. It's definitely a sign of Tonitrus being recognized as something that can be amazing in the future.

"I get you're hyped, but it's still gonna be another twenty minutes before we perform, why not try to relax some?" said Tokita, the lead guitarist and my best friend.

He's not wrong, the band Roselia just finished playing and there are still five bands between Roselia finishing and Tonitrus starting. "I would, but since this is the first time we've performed for a crowd of this size, I can barely sit still." I said "I'm gonna go on a walk backstage for a bit. It's better than pacing in here after all."

I went and left the waiting room and began to walk around. As I turned a corner, I saw a lone head of silver hair in front of me.

"Hey there." I called out.

The girl turned to face me and said "Hey, if I remember correctly, you're the vocalist for Tonitrus, correct?"

"Yeah, I'm Y/n L/n. I saw you and the rest of Roselia performing just now and it was amazing." I said

"Thank you. I'm Yukina Minato, I look forward to seeing how Tonitrus performs." Minato said

"Just wait and see us hype everyone up." I said confidently. Why was I so restless about Tonitrus performing in front of a bigger crowd than usual anyways? Tonitrus just needs to do what it does best, and I want to show to Minato that we can give a great show too.

Minato continued where she was going and I headed back to the waiting room where the rest of Tonitrus was and as I entered the room, Tokita smirked and said "Looks like somebody has managed to calm down. We're up in five minutes and we're ready if you are."

One Week Later...

As I walked home from school, I carried a bag from the convenience store in my other hand. I don't have band practice today and so I figured I'd head home and relax some. I had to go grab something from the convenience store anyways, so I figured I'd buy some chips and some manga.

I walked down the street with the bag in my hands rustling when as I got closer to my house, a calico cat ran up to me and began to meow at me.

"Hey Wagahai," I said as I pulled a can of cat food out and opened it before placing it in front of him. As I put the can down I saw that there was someone who was getting up, presumably trying to pet Wagahai before he noticed me. "Hey there. Bet you're wondering why the cat suddenly ran right?" The person turned to face me and I saw it was Minato from Roselia.

"Hello L/n. So I take it,you know this cat?" Minato asked

"Yeah, for one I call him Wagahai. He's a stray that likes to hang out around here. I've been trying to get him used to people so I can adopt him or something." I answered

"I see. So how much progress have you made?" Minato asked

I shrugged "I figured I'd start feeding him to gain his trust, but while he still isn't a fan of me touching him, he makes sure to come and demand food from me whenever I walk by." I said, chuckling a bit at the last bit.

Minato smiled at my explanation and said "Then I guess he fits the name." (A/n: Wagahai is a pronoun rarely used in real life but is often used for pompous anthropomorphic animals in media like Bowser and Morgana)

"Yeah, that's for sure." I said "And now for my daily attempt at trying to pet the little punk" While Wagahai was still eating, I reached down and tried to pet him. However, in response to my touch, he shambled to the other side of the can. Not wanting to disturb his dinner by being too persistent, I pulled away and sighed "He still isn't a fan. What about you? Want to give it a try?"

Minato kneeled down and slowly reached her hand out to Wagahai's back and after she began to stroke his back, he tried to shamble away again. He at least let her touch him for slightly longer than he lets me.

After Wagahai finished eating, he quickly jumped onto the wall separating the houses and ran off.

"I guess he's done with us for the day." I said "I wish I could actually get him to trust me some."

"When I passed by, he seemed to be sitting by that building, looking out." Minato said, pointing to where she saw him

"That's my home." I said

"I guess he was waiting for you where he knew he'd run into you." Minato said

"Yeah, I guess so." I said

"In any case, I need to get going since Roselia is having practice." Minato said

"I'm sorry to have held you up." I said

"It's fine."

"Say Minato, I'd really like to talk to you again at some point. Would that be good with you?." I said

"If we meet again, I would be fine with that." Minato said

I smiled and said "Alright, if that's the case, then I'll see you then."

Minato then began to walk down the road, presumably to where she's going to meet up with the rest of Roselia. I then entered my house and headed to my room to relax, with the awe that Minato and Roselia filled me with back at the Hakka Music Festival.

A/n: And so Awe of She begins. I'll definitely be releasing this more often than I did the first half of Love to Wonderland, but that isn't hard in the slightest. In any case, I have some exciting plans for this story and I hope you'll all enjoy.
