They were running out of time.
Which meant two things: it either meant that things were wrapping up smoothly, or that they were making a narrow escape.
MacGregor had emerged from the hall, meaning the meeting would be disbanding, meaning Lily was running out of time to locate, retrieve and escape with the artifact.
Meaning they were all running out of time.
Looked like it would be the narrow escape.
Rafaela sat casually - as casually as a lone woman of colour in an automobile in London in 1916 could be, unfortunately. This tended to draw quite a lot of attention from passers by.
But she paid no attention to them back. She heard a cry from above which drew her attention upward to see-
"Lily!" What had that woman gotten herself into now? A very sticky situation, by the looks of it.
Looked like a narrow escape indeed.
Lily had changed out of her coat and skirt and into a trousers and jacket set, complete with a hat and tall boots. She was dangling out the upper window on the end of a ladder, a sharply dressed man standing over her through the window.
"Lily!" Raf called up to her friend. "Drop, I'll catch you - or rather this motor car will!"
"STOP!" A bus was heading right for them - they were in the middle of the road - and MacGregor ran out into the street, arms flailing.
The bus stopped just as Lily dropped down, dropping swiftly onto the leather seat of the car beside Rafaela. A bus full of uniform-clad soldiers stared at her. She flashed them a wide grin. "You shipping out lads?"
MacGregor just rolled his eyes.

Arrowhead now retrieved, their next step was packing.
Brother and sister were in Lily's chambers, most likely having an argument - another argument - concerning their venture to the Amazon.
Raf tapped on the door.
"Come in!" called Lily.
"All ready to go?"
"Absolutely!" chimed Lily. "Now all we need is a skipper! How do you know this fellow again?"
"He's a friend of mine," she answered, only in partial truth. "An old friend."
And so it was all set: they were going to the Amazon.
Looked like she was going home - finally going home.
