B4N <3 |A Shinkami story|

Alone...

Hey beans! It is I author-chan. >:3 I've never written a story before and I'm not much of a writer but I came up with a story that I hope you'll all enjoy either way. Sorry for any grammar mistakes. ON WITH THE STORY!!!

Denki POV
Eeeeee! It's finally Friday! I've been looking forward to the weekend since Sunday afternoon, but it's finally here! We had a big test this morning so everyone has been busy studying during the week. I've been studying super hard too- well... if I'm being honest I mostly procrastinated till Thursday to study... BUT I did study all night on Thursday to make up for it!! I barely got any sleep but hey, at least I'll pass...hopefully... anyways, I'm super stoked cuz Bakugou, Sero, Kirishima, Mina, And I have plans to go to the arcade later. I've been looking forward to this all week and-

"Sorry bro, a last minute thing came up and I won't be able to go to the arcade today", I was snapped out of my thoughts by a slightly taller redhead

"Wait, what? But we've had this plan for weeks.."

"I know bro, I'm so sorry. I forgot that I'd already made plans with someone else. I promise to make it up to you later, ok?" Kirishima gave me a little hug as he spoke. Why did he always cancel last minute? It seems like every time we make plans he always remembers that he actually made plans with someone else on that same day. Why can't he ever make time to hang out with us? We're his friends too, why can't he prioritize us?

I smiled at Kiri to try and hide my slight disappointment, "It's ok Kiri, things happen. We can always hang out tomorrow or Sunday. Don't feel bad I can just go to the arcade with the rest of the squad"

"Tch, if shitty hair doesn't have to go why do I have to?" Bakugou grumbled and started walking away. Not surprising, the only reason Bakugou puts up with us is because of Kirishima. So without Kiri Bakugou won't put up with us for more than 5 seconds.

It's fine, it's fine, two of my friends are busy, luckily I have two other friends that would be more than happy to hang out at the arcade with me. I looked over at Mina but there was no sight of Sero, he must have gone back to the dorms early.

"Ok Mina, looks like Sero left early. We should head back to the dorms to get ready and then I'll text you and Sero the address of the place and we can meet there, ok?"

"Um...yeah sure..." Mina responded quietly looking away from me.

I looked at her concerned. Mina is usually always smiling and outgoing. Why was she suddenly acting different? Was she sad? Had I done something wrong? Did I forget something important? "Hey, Mina? Are you ok?"

"Hm? Oh... yeah um...I just... Ochaco invited me to girls night today and I kinda wanted to go, but now that kiri and Bakugou canceled I kinda feel bad canceling as well..." She avoided making eye contact with me as she spoke. Oh, so that's what it was. Well I can't force her to stay if she clearly wants to go to girls night. I mean, at least she made an effort to stay. She didn't try to abandon ship right away.

"Oh, no worries Mina" I smiled brightly at her to reassure her that she didn't need to feel bad. "You should go have fun with the girls. As long as you promise to bring me back some snacks as compensation"

She looked at me and smiled "heh, sure Kami"

Welp, it's just me and Sero now. I wanna have hope in him and believe he'll still wanna hang out with me even though everyone else ditched, but who am I kidding he's probably already hanging out with someone else. Why would he want to hang out with me? I had a chance when the others were involved, but who would want to hang out with JUST me? I may as well just text him and cancel the plans before he has to cancel them and feel bad about it.

Hey kami! Sorry I left early without telling you! Gym class was intense today and I wanted to take a shower before we hang out with the squad. I have a couple errands I need to run before we go but I'll meet you there around 5

I stared at my phone in shock and a giant genuine smile creeped on my face as I read his message. He wasn't canceling!! He actually wanted to hang out with m- wait... he doesn't know that the others canceled. Should I tell him? What if he cancels when he finds out it's just me? But if I lie I'd be tricking him into hanging out with me and that wouldn't make any of us happy. But I've been looking forward to this for weeks I don't want him to cancel. What if I just sliiiiiightly bend the truth, then I'm not really lying to him Im just making the situation seem better than it is. Yeah, excellent idea.

Yes!! He didn't cancel! Listen, don't go judging me for being disappointed over canceled plans. It's been like eight months since we all hung out together and I was really looking forward to seeing them. Every other week I try to make plans hoping that I'll finally be able to see them outside of school but it's always either that someone has to study for a test, or they already have plans, or they're too lazy, or literally just any excuse. Before, we used to hang out every weekend, and during the week we would text each other 24/7 in the group chat. They weren't always meaningful conversation, sometimes we'd just send each other memes or funny tiktoks but the point is we were always there for each other. Now, I'm lucky if they'll even respond to a text in the same week. Quite frankly the fact that Sero responded to me just now was a surprise but nevertheless he responded and he didn't cancel so that's all that matters now. I get that friends sometimes grow apart but my friends are different, we're like a family. I'll do whatever it takes to bring everyone back together. I might have to start one at a time though. Speaking of which I should start heading back to the dorms and get ready. I have to meet Sero at the arcade after all.

So I know not much happened this chapter (and it was very short) but it's important to the story so hush. Anyways I hope you enjoyed this first chapter, and sorry if there were any grammar mistakes.
