Vampires usually don't sleep, but Elena was exhausted. She spent almost a week with Kai and she was getting tired of him. It had been forever since she's dreamt, but last night she dreamed of seeing her friends again, seeing damon again. Her dream gave her hope, maybe it was possible to escape without bennett blood.

ELENAS POV:
I was back in mystic falls, inside of damon's room. i belly flopped onto his bed, or might have belly flopped onto damon himself. we laughed and giggled as i rolled over beside him.

he moved a strand of hair out of my face, and caressed my cheek "I love you so much Elena".

"I love you Damon". he pulled me in for a kiss.

*I WOKE UP*

I woke up and realized it was all a dream, it wasn't real. yes, i was still in mystic falls, in the salvatore house, IN Damon's bedroom, but without Damon. i was heartbroken, without my other half and friends. stuck here for an eternity with a lunatic.

*Kai knocks on door*

"Morning sleepy head! come on downstairs i made some breakfast".

Oh God please, the last thing i want to do right now is have breakfast with my kidnapper.

"Go away, Kai. I said to stay on your side of the house". Annoyance came out my mouth.

*Suddenly the door swung open*

"Why don't i just give you breakfast in bed then." Kai carried a tray of pancakes, whipped cream, and blueberries.

Thats actually a very kind gesture, but i guarantee this is another one of his tricks.

"Oh thank you kai, this is very kind of you". I grabbed the tray not really knowing if I should eat it or not.

"Of course Elena, I actually got this idea from Damon in the prison world. Of course he didnt show this meal to me, I actually just stalked him and Bon and wanted to try it with my new prison partner!"

*Kai grabbed a pancake. Forming a smiley face with blueberries and adding whipped cream fangs on the smile*

Its kind of cute?

"A vampire pancake, well thank you!" I still starred at the pancake, i didnt know what his intentions were.

"Well aren't you gonna try it?" Kai said frowning.

"Kai you've put me through hell this entire week, don't get butt-hurt of me not trusting your cooking skills. Excuse me for not wanting to be poisoned."

"Fine i'll eat it right in front of you to prove my food is delicious and NOT poisoned."

*Kai eats the pancake in 5 bites*

I starred at him waiting for some kind of reaction from the pancake, but he seemed okay?

"I guess you were telling the truth."

"Although i'm a sociopath I would never put food at risk!"

I chuckled.

"So new partner, what do you want to do today?" Kai walked around Damon's room.

"Woah Woah pal! wait a minute, just because you made me pancakes does not mean we're hanging out." I got out of bed and walked to damon's bathroom to brush my teeth.

"Please? I could use some help to find a way out of here. If you help me I could make us some delicious grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch! :)"

Maybe joining him today on his search for a way out wouldn't be so bad, theres really nothing else to do alone in a prison world.

"Fine i'll go, BUT remember our deal. Don't make me regret this Kai."

"Spending a day with ME will be a blast, just you wait Elena." Kai walked out of the room allowing me to shower and change clothes for the day.
