She what?!

When I walked into school it was quiet, almost too quiet. I walked to my locker and a random girl came up to me
"Hey I heard about Aurora. I know she was a bit of a friend to you. "
I was very confused and just stared at the girl with a blank face as she walked away. When I got into my first class my teacher came up to me and asked if I was ok. After she told me that the principal wanted to see me.
I knocked on mr. Thomas Door and waited for an answer. The door opened fast
"Hi Grayson I'm glad you here, please come in" he said
"Could you please tell me what's happening. Why is everybody acting all weird?" I said while taking a seat
"Well Grayson I thought you would know"
"Know what I'm really confused"
"It's about your friend Aurora"
"What happen what's wrong with her"
"Aurora lived in a different home. Her mother passed away from breast cancer when she was in grade 8 and even since then he father was abusive. There was nothing the school could do about." Mr.Thomas said
"Wait. What? She never told me any of this. Why didn't the school do anything? You knew about it" I said with anger
"Well when ever the police would question Aurora she would say that her father wouldn't touch her. She would only say that cause she was scared of him"
"So where is she? What happen"
"This morning he older brother Tucker went to go see if she was up and ready for school. But when he found her she had cuts and bruises all her body"
"So what happen with her? Where is she?" I said with my eyes getting filled with water
"I'm afraid she was beat to death Grayson. There was nothing her brother or you could do"
I covered my mouth with my hand and had tears all down my face.
"I'm sorry Grayson. It not your fault"
"IT IS MY FAULT I WAS GOING TO ASK HER TO SLEEPOVER BUT I DIDNT. I COULD HAVE SAVED HER LIFE" I said screaming and crying
I stormed out of the office and was running to my locker when I ran into somebody.
"Wow calm down are you alright?" Crawford asked me
I didn't say anything I just hugged him as tight as I could. I put my head into he's chest and I could fell my tears getting he's sweater wet. He hugged be back too tight. I was calming down
"Are you ok?" Crawford asked
I was trying to speak but I was chocking on my words.
"Ya I'm fine it's just Aurora... she's dead" I said crying and falling to the ground. Crawford just sat down beside me on the ground and pulled me over to the wall. I just cried into he's shoulder and he just held me there. I may have only met Aurora but I felt like I knew her for my life. She came to me in a time of need and I made friends with her. She was amazing person and did deserve what happen to her.
