•The Beginning•
I woke up by the sound of my fifth alarm of the day. Groaning as I took my phone from the side table and turned of the alarm.
Seeing as it's already seven in the morning, my eyes widen. "Oh shit."
I quickly got out of bed and went to the shower. Got ready as fast as I could.
"I have no time left." looking at my wrist watch, only fifteen minutes before the bell will ring.
Opened the fridge and took the sandwich I made this evening 'cause I know I'll wake up late as always.
"Bye, mom!" I shouted. "Oops, I forgot she's in prison."
Shhaking my head as I ran while eating the cold sandwich. It's both consuming calories and burning it. I call it multitasking.
The school is just ten minutes away from the house so t wouldn't be a problem to just run. I reache the school gate panting.
"Y/n!" someone shouted from the back.
Before I could look who was it, someone snaked their arms aroung mine, clinging into it.
"Mary, you're going to kill me from a heart attack if you keep doing that." I panted out the words, holding my chest.
She giggled. "But you're still alive yet."
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes on her. "Where's that rapper guy?"
"You mean Vin Jin?" She looked behind her shoulder. "He's behind us. It's been a year and you still don't remember his name?"
I took a bite from my sandwich. "I have short-term memory problems." the school bell rang. "Fuck, I'm late for my first subject."
Mary rolled her eyes. "It's not like you're not always late."
"This is your fault." I gave her the remaining half of the sandwich. "You finish it. I'll get going, I don't want to stand for the whole lecture."
"Why the heck is this cold?" she shouted in shock.
"I wonder why too." I laughed andd paced towards the second years' school building.
When I got into the door from the back, I breathed deeply. It seems that the teacher isn't here yet. I sighed in relief when I got inside the classroom.
Just a minute after I sat down, the teacher arrived. A cute chubby long haired girl with a glasses came after the teacher.
"We have a transferee for this semester, please behaveand be nice to her. Please introduce yourself to the class Miss Choi." The professer said in a strict manner.
The transferee introduced herself and was eyeing everyone in the room. As our eyes met, i tilt my head to the side doing the same. Her brows knotted but eventually came back to normal.
The lecture finished like a flash. I may be always late but except for that, I could pass as a role model in school.
I went straight at home as soon as I got out of school. Since I am not a very socialable person I have one friend, which is Mary Kim. Others think it's the opposite tho, they think I am friends with everyone since I am nice?
While I am on my way home I saw an old man from the other side of the road. It seems like he is following me. I fasten my walk a little bit, noticed that the old man did the same.
I scanned his whole being. He was wearing a shade, such a weirdo, who wears a shade when the sun is about too go down. His hair looks like it was tightly slicked back that the ray of sun reflects on it.
He was starting to cross the road that interrupted my analysis. I ran quickly and so he did.
Running as fast as I could hoping I will not stumble on the road. I avoided the roads towards my house, I don'twant this creep to know where I live.
'You ain't playing tag, you're playing run for your life.' the voice in my head joked.
I rolled my eyes. "Funny." I mumbled to myself.
The collar of my shirt was pulled from behind. Making me fall on my back because of my inertia.
'What the fuck is inertia?' I mumbled in my head.
Not caring about the fact that I might die now. I placed my hand on my chin trying to remember what it is about.
"Ah! It's where the object at rest stays at rest, and when an object is at motion will continue to move at a constant velocity unless acted upon force." I nodded my head.
Atleast I am not going to die dumb.
"When are you standing up?" A deep voice behind my ear groaned.
Only by then I realized I am laying on my back on top of a random stranger. Still on the side walk of the park.
"Shitty, Galileo. My heart." I held my chest and got up. "I'm sorry about that."
I was about to bow down when I realized it was the old man that was stalking me.
"Creepy old man." I sort of yelled and kicked his dingly between his thighs. He groaned and showed pain. "The hell you pedo stalking me for? If you here to rape me, I promise you would regret it. Nor stealing from me is not a good idea 'cause I am broke."
He got up from the ground and wiped the dirt in his thick ass. "I'm not an old man."
"I don't care. You're still a creep." I shaked my head. "Men are creepy as fuck." I shivered and started walking away.
"Women are weird. Why am I even here?" I heard him mumbled.
I waved my hand. "I don't know. Anyways, don't follow me home."
"Charles Choi is looking forward to meet you, Miss Grim.
My head quickly turned into his direction. "Who are you?" I squinted my eyes. "Don't call me that, it's very cringe."
"Miss l/n, then. The Chairman wants you to work with him." he said, unbothered.
I walked towards him. Closing the gaps between our foot. Glaring at the weird man.
"Tell him to fuck off and don't mess with my normal life." I smiled sweetly and tapped his cheeks.
I turned around and started walking away.
'Just how did they know my existence?'
