Sci's pov:

I walk through the portal and land right in front of the small lab behind me and paps house. I take the key from my pocket and open the door, walking into the old dusty room. I flick on the light switch and speed walk to a book shelf in the corner of the room. There, I grab an old cardboard box from the bottom shelf, dragging it out. I wipe the top of the box off with my sleeve, brushing the dust onto the floor.

"What is that?"

Ink asks, pointing at the box.

"That is an old machine that I halfway know how to use." I answered.

"Also does anyone have a knife?"

Blue handed me a small pocket knife.
"There ya go. It's good to always keep an extra weapon you."

I stare at him for a few seconds before just shrugging and going back to opening the box. I slice the knife across the top and pull the box open.

Inside is a semi used machine, a fairly small box painted white and blue. I take it out and walk over to the old desk. I swipe away more dust and place the contraption down onto the table.

I then turn to everyone else cramped in the small room.

"This,"
I motion toward the box.
"Is something we built a while ago. It's able to scan magic DNA, and give us information on what a monster looks like. It's how we caught a thief awhile ago... Turned out to just be paps that needed supplies to make spaghetti."

Ink gasped and walked over to it.
"Oooh. I wanna try it!"

I thought for a moment.
"I guess it wouldn't hurt to see if it still works after all this time. Summon a really small bone."

Ink vibrated excitedly and summoned half of a pinky finger bone.

I grabbed it and put it into a beaker, than inserted it into the machine.

I plugged it into the old PC and watched as it whirred on.

I typed in the pin and some other info, before the machine started scanning the data.

It made a few weird noises before speaking.

I watched as the machine shut off. I looked over to the others. Ink looked slightly offended, while blue was staring at the machine intently.

"Okay... Ink, hand me the strings."

Ink snapped out of his gaze and reached into his pocket. He pulled out three strings; purple, blue, and red. He handed them to me.

I took a different beaker and put the strings in, then I took the used beaker out of the machine and put the new one in.
