although this au is, um, pretty obvious it's based on the story of bonnie and clyde, there is only one change to this one-shot: wooyoung (bonnie in this one-shot) is NOT married to another guy prior to meeting san (bonnie was married to a roy thornton when she met clyde and they never divorced).
this au is also set place ten years after bonnie and clyde's death so, like, people in this au have knowledge of such criminal couple.
this au will NOT depict the entire story of bonnie and clyde and instead, will only show the important parts of their story. if you're interested in the full version of their story, there's plenty of resources online where you can learn about them!

jung wooyoung and choi san. these two names were always shown on newspaper headlines and heard on the radio. they were never seen without the other, always on the run together. their story was beautiful in all sort of twisted ways, but people still talk about them today because of their legendary heists and robberies they managed to achieve in their lifetime. it wasn't just anyone that could pull such perfectness off so easily, so they must be quite amazing to do just that.
and that's why they were dubbed the title of 'the bonnie n' clyde of korea'.
january, 1944
"how's the arm doing?" wooyoung asked his best friend. wooyoung had gotten off work that day to visit the boy, knowing that yeosang must be bored to his guts since his parents were both out and he was alone in the house. the slightly older boy had been climbing trees outside three weeks ago — which wooyoung deemed to be stupid to do since they're already 19 — and fell down, breaking his arm in the process.
yeosang grinned sheepishly, "pretty good, to be honest. doctors say it's gonna take another three to five weeks till it's fully healed, but hey, i'm keeping up."
wooyoung chuckled, "glad that you're doing good. do you want anything? or do you want me to literally just sit here and read you brother grimm stories?"
"no!" yeosang protested, accidentally hitting his broken arm to the table, "fuck, that hurts. um, would be amazing if you can make some hot chocolate for me or something."
wooyoung rolled his eyes, "the only thing you ever tell me to do is to make you food and drinks. for the last time, dear yeosang, i am not your maid."
yeosang wiggled his eyebrows, "you sure do look like a maid, though, wooyoung."
wooyoung stuck his tongue out at him. because yeosang was way too bored, he had asked wooyoung to somewhat entertain him while he's stuck here, at home. so wooyoung and yeosang placed a bet, if the mr seo (a/n: NOT seo changbin) at wooyoung's office confesses his love for wooyoung (the two had realised the much older man had fallen for the younger about a few months ago), then wooyoung would have to wear a maids outfit as his punishment.
