Chapter 5

With no other choice both you and Ethan had to go through this place and slowly made your way around the area's, course there was some of the undead there but it was quickly dealt with as you and Ethan worked together to get it all done in order to move ahead.

Somethings you found were some coins, bullets and some gunpowder at one spot which you briefly mentioned that you could carve up some gun bullets once you two were out of this creepy place that wreaked with the scent of blood.

Once the final undead was out of your way, you both took a moment to reload your guns before heading for the rather small elevator. Sighing you knew the fit would be tight so you and Ethan were forced to stand rather close but soon as he pulled the leaver it quickly took you guys up to a part of the castle where there was a balcony.

"Maybe I can contact Chris from up here." You muttered.
"Chris is here?" Ethan asked.
"He should be why?" You asked.
"I need some answers from him!" Ethan replied with a small growl to his voice.

'Hold up...did Chris not inform Ethan of our plans?' You thought.

Sighing you just brought up two fingers to your earpiece and had tried to make contact with Chris and the team. So far nothing worked, you tried a few more times before giving up for the moment and silently cursing to yourself.

"I can't get through, I'm not sure if this thing is broken or there's interference going on." You sighed.
"Fine, we'll just find him ourselves." Ethan sighed.
"First we find your daughter...then we'll meet up with Chris." You replied.

Ethan just nodded his head and off you two were and found yourselves in a different room which the door was wide open, you had taken this time to quickly make up some bullets for your handguns and split them evenly as much as you could before you both left off only to overhear the sound of a phone ringing just a few feet ahead of you both.

With the nearly falling due to some wood breaking Ethan quickly helped you over the ledge and when you both got over you quickly crouched down hopefully out of sight when you noticed Lady Dimitrescu herself in the very room with the phone ringing in.

For the moment you and Ethan watched her take a puff of smoke from her pipe, she just stood there for a short moment before quickly huffing and taking a seat in front of the mirror before her and answered it.

"Mother Miranda. I regret to inform you that Ethan Winters has escaped that fool, Heisenberg...Because he is in my castle and has already proven too much for my daughters to handle! On top of that, he has successfully rescued that Kennedy woman and is now finding a way to get her out of here! When I find him--No, Mother Miranda. Yes, of course, I understand the importance of the ceremony. I won't let you down. Do not worry, Mrs. Kennedy will return to my side soon enough." Lady Dimirescu tells Mother Miranda over the phone.

She hung up the phone and took a split second before she growled and roughly grabbed her vanity and tossed it across the room, that action alone made your eyes widen as you looked at it then back at her.

"To hell with the ceremony! That man will pay for what he's done...and I will retrieve my sweet little pet." Lady Dimitrescu comments.

Both you and Ethan watched for a split moment longer as she bent down in order to get through the double doors. Soon as the doors were closed shut you felt yourself let out a breath you didn't realize you were holding. Patting Ethan's shoulder you both stood up and carefully sneaked inside the room.

That's when a small crib was around there but sadly it was empty, no sign of Rose no proof she was actually in there recently.

"Rose, where are you?" Ethan asked.
"We will find her okay? Don't lose hope." You told him.
"I know we will, I just hope she hasn't been hurt...or worse." Ethan frowns.
"Don't talk like that! We'll find her and then we'll get the fuck out of this place alive alright?" You explained.
"Right, your right. Thanks (y/n)." Ethan replied.
