It was a dark and quiet night in Gotham City. Grey clouds began to roll in as thunder erupted from the distance. Bruce Lee walked through the shabby streets with his hands in his pockets. He could hear the echoes of police sirens out in the distance. A murder? A robbery? Who knows.

Bruce at least knew that he was in America. All the signs over the buildings were written in clear-cut English. However, he never once heard of Gotham City before. Perhaps, he lacked a bit of knowledge about U.S. geography. The only places that he'd been and lived in were Seattle and San Francisco.

It was a tad bit chilly, and his pockets kept his hands somewhat warm out in the cold. Wasn't it supposed to be summer? Why is it so cold around this time of year? He could be in the northeast of the US. But, he didn't think that the northeast could be this cold. Not in the summer. Bruce suddenly felt something brushed against his leg, and he looked down.

It was a piece of old newspaper. He picked it up and read its contents.

'Just Who is Behind the Mask of Batman?' It read in big, bold letters. On the paper showed a large, blurred picture of Batman soaring through the night skies. It looked mysterious and obscure to the regular citizens of Gotham.

"Batman?" Bruce Lee questioned. "Like some sort of superhero?"

This had to be some sort of hoax, right? It was strange, yet fascinating at the same time. He couldn't imagine a man flying up in the night skies wearing a bat suit while fighting crime. Someone had watched one too many movies, and that was coming from a movie superstar.

However fake or not, Bruce Lee could respect a man who would face justice head on and fight for what is right. For some reason, it reminded him of a time where he acted as Kato on the Green Hornet show. Perhaps, it had to do with the whole superhero fiasco.

Soon, rain began to fall from the heavens. Bruce immediately started running as the skies poured down heavily on him. He needed somewhere to temporarily take shelter in and hopefully be able to call his wife or friends. As he ran, a cop car slowly pulled over besides him with its passenger window down.

"Hey, need a ride?"

Bruce stopped running and looked over at the officer in the car. He was a Caucasian man dressed in a beige trench coat with brown hair, a thick mustache and a pair of glasses. Bruce Lee had no reason to refuse the officer's offer and quickly entered the vehicle to escape the rain.

"Where're you headed to?"

"Somewhere I can spend the night."

"I can take you to a hotel nearby," the officer said. He looked over the mirror to check for oncoming traffic before merging back on the road again. The car approached to a stop at a red light, and the officer faced towards the silent man.

"Name's Jim Gordon," Gordon spoke again. "Got a name, young man?"

Young man? Bruce Lee grew a tiny smirk; he wasn't actually that young anymore. Thirty-two more like it. It was young but not THAT young. He guessed he could take the unintentional compliment.

"Lee," he answered. "Bruce Lee."

"Bruce Lee, huh?" The commissioner pondered for a moment. "What're you doing so late out at night? It's dangerous to walk here alone at night, especially in Gotham."

"I'm... I'm not sure."

The red light finally turned green, and Gordon continued driving straight ahead. It was quite difficult to see what was up front since the rain was pouring down heavily. The windows wipers did little to help with visibility,

"You're not sure? What do you mean by that?"

"I'm lost."

"Are you not from around here, Mr. Lee?"
