"I think I've made a mistake."

Eren's POV

A problem indeed.

Wait a minute. Today is, today is.... WHAT TIME IS IT?!

Oh my god oh my god omg how could i be so careless?! Today is my first day at work and i need to be there in.... FIFTY MINUTES.

Im dead. I should just accept it now I'm so dead. But despite my death I still might have time to go home and shower if I'm quick. Where am i?

Hey this is pretty close to my place, I might be, 10 minutes away? This is truly my lucky day.

When i finally got home i quickly showered and changed before running out the door. It was 8:45, i had exactly 15 minutes to get to Snk.co before my new job was now my new-old job.

I walked a bit faster when Snk.co got into sight. I opened the door and sped-walked right up to the desk where Petra gave me a 'you're late' look and pointed to a door down the hall.

"You'll be sitting in on a meeting, they're waiting for you." She chuckled and leaned over the desk straightening my tie.

"Thanks." I said walking over to meeting room #1

I opened the door as slowly as possible in an attempt to sneak in, but to my avail they were all actually waiting for me. Just like Petra said.

"Hello Eren, please take a seat." Erwin smiled at me. He must be running the meeting today.

I decided just to nod back at him, it was way too awkward to even dare saying anything.

I sat down in an empty seat near the middle of the long brown table. There were about 6 people on either side and maybe a 13 person total.

I wonder why I'm even here?

"Ok lets get started shall we?" Erwin spoke. "So as you all know it's necessary to start prioritizing our funding due to budget cuts. I regret to inform you all that the next project will be coming a lot earlier than scheduled.... "

I zoned out a bit at that point. I don't even know what's going on right now. Why am i here?

I feel like someones staring at me...

I looked across the table only to prove my senses were not failing me. A man was staring dead at me.

He had raven-black hair and gorgeous silver eyes, but they looked tired as all hell.

We made eye contact and he looked a bit suprised, or annoyed, or both? Did i know him from somewhere? He looks a bit... Familiar.

But a voice broke my train of thought.

"Alrighty then! That's it for today. Sorry to waste your time, back to work!" Erwin smiled at everyone and shooed them away. "Eren please stay id like you to meet our second in command."

Second in command?

Well there it is... I wrote half of this late at night, so sleepy writing >_>
