The light patter of rain could be heard outside.

"Mama please, Foolish and Drista like being alone anyways!"

Puffy stared at the big green eyes of her 10 year old begging to go play outside. "No Dream, I told you that Drista and Foolish need supervision while I'm gone," Dream pouted.

"Besides you'll get sick, it's pouring outside not to mention it's getting late, the moon's already out," Dream huffed, "So? I like the rain and it only looks late," Puffy sighed.

"And why can't uncle Schaltt just take care of them?" Puffy hesitated for a moment before taking a deep breath and continuing. "Uncle Schaltt isn't really good near kids" She paused, "that's why mama needs someone loving and strong to take care of them,"

She taped his nose. "But that's not fair!" Dream started complaining more. "Why do you get to travel and go on adventures but not me?" Dream raised his voice.

"Shhhhh" she shushed her eldest son. "Dream you'll wake up your siblings"

"But are they really my siblings?"

Puffy was taken aback by his response slightly shocked. "Of course they are, why wouldn't they be?" She replied knowing fully well why.

"Foolish isn't my sibling though, and you aren't my mother!" Dream shouted getting upset at Puffy. Maybe even a bit at himself.

"Dream. I may not be your real mother but I am here now to take care of you. I am now your mother and you have to accept that," Puffy tried to be understanding but her patience was growing thin.

This just ticked Dream off, "A good mother would never leave her children to go on some stupid adventure on a stupid ship in a-" he pushed Puffy back, "-STUPID SEA!"

"YOUR NOT MY MOTHER AND NEVER WILL BE!"

He swung open the front door and ran outside into the cold rain, crying. "DREAM! PLEASE COME BACK, I'M SORRY! I FEEL TERRIBLE LEAVING YOU!" Puffy yelled with the heart as she chased after Dream.

"Please...."

Dream ran out of there little cottage and into the woods he so dearly loved. Running through vines and under branches, venturing through small isolated places and the green overgrowth. Hoping to lose his so-called "mother".

The sound of her voice became fainter and fainter soon drowned out by the pattering of rain.

But Dream didn't stop. He kept running letting his thoughts race with him, occasionally getting scratched here and there by pointing branched or annoying leaves.

He sobbed, she's not my mother, she's not my mother. He became tired quickly and started slowing down. The coldness and thoughts only made him more drowsy.

He passed by trees that slowly started thickening the deeper he went. Dream eventually stopped by a small clear opening beside a river running gently, despite the rain ushering it to move faster.

He sat on a fallen log catching his breath letting the rain take over; wet his hair and his clothes so they became semi transparent. It was calming. The cold had made him numb but at that point he was too tired to move and take shelter.

He let the water fall over his messy, now wet, dirty blonde lock. His hair fell over his face while the rain moved over his still body. The moon casted a gentle light on his small frame. The sound of calm water drained out his thoughts.

It was beautiful. If only the reason he was here wasn't because of a silly argument. Dream sighed. Was it silly though?

I wasn't wrong though. She's almost never there to take care of us. I get being a captain and a mom his hard but does she really she like her boat more than us?

She's not my re- real mother though- ..... so why does she act li....ike it? He grew more tired. It's not like.........she cares. His eyes became heavy struggling to keep their selves open. Uncle Schaltt likes us so he i-is g-

He finally gave in to the cold letting the black spots take over his vision.

"I'm telling you it's worth it,"

"Ugggg, how much longer I'm starting to get cold, besides it's getting real late and I have to go home later," A heavy British accent was heard.

"What the fuck are you going to go do back at your house anyways? Have your beauty sleep? Like that's all you do. Sleep. Now stop complaining and hurry up."

"Respect your elders, Saltynap," George replied, eyeing the small 8 year old that just sweared at him through his clout goggles. Sapnap scoffed at the name. "You're only 13 dipshit and if you wanted to call me my nickname at least say it right,"

The two boys kept walking into the woods with their rain coats on and very cheep lanterns, occasionally starting up a conversation but ending it with "Shut up Idiot" or "Hate you too"

"Aaaaand, We're here!" Sapnap flung his hands out towards the clear opening. "Oh cool, you wanted to show me some trees and a river,"
George dead panned, making sure that his sarcasm was clear.

"It's ok George I get it, it hard for you to see the  true beauty of nature..." Sapnap clutched his perils and put a hand on his forehead, he opened an eye and looked over at George "...because your too much of a STUCK UP BRAT!"

"Oh now your gonna get it-" George dropped his lantern and pulled Sapnap's ear. Sapnap also dropped his lantern and grabbed at George's hair tugging it causing George to let out an "Ow"

"LET GO IDIOT!"
"NOT UNTIL YOU TAKE BACK WHAT YOU SAID, IMMATURE BRAT!"
"NOT MY FAULT YOU- OW, CAN'T SEE THE BEAUTY!"
"Ouch, OW- I'M COLOURBLIND NOT BLIND IDIOT!"

George tried to get Sapnap off him but ended up tripping over something, tumbling backwards and bringing Sapnap with him.

Thud

Both boys groaned. "Get your fat ass off me,"

Sapnap got off George not lending him a hand, instead looking over at what they tripped on. George got up and patted himself off, giving a disgusted look at the mud on his coat. He picked up his lantern that was also now covered in mud and joined Sapnap.

"What are you looking for now?"
"The thing we tripped on" George picked up Sapnap's lantern and handed it to him. "Your gonna need this idiot," They scanned over the area before George let out a gasp.

"Omg it's a dead body!" Sapnap exclaimed. George hit his head. "Not dead stupid" The 8 year old rubbed the back of his head and grumbled, "you don't know that..."

George tried to pick him up but failed. "Well he looks younger than me..." George examined the kid as Sapnap tried to clean if the mud and grime of his face. He had tanned skin and what looked to be like wet brown hair.

"Looks like he passed out, we should take him home," Sapnap tried picking him up too. "No shit Sherlock," George threw one of the kids arm around his shoulder while Sap did the same to the other.

Together they slowly dragged the kid back from where they came from. "Wow Sippy cup, didn't know a dead body was part of your special place," George threw him a shit eating grin. "Tch, you literally said they weren't dead?"

"We don't know that for sure," Sapnap furrowed his eyebrows in frustration before mumbling ,"that's what I said dumbass..."
