Chapter 6

I sat around the breakfast table, while the men around me dug into their plates overflowing with delicious food. As it turns out, HQ has a chef, who was pretty much responsible for all meals. I played with my food, not having the appetite to eat after finding out their sick and twisted plan for me. Chan took notice almost immediately.

"What's wrong? Food not up to your liking?" he asked in a thick Australian accent. I shook my head no.

"I just don't feel like eating." I replied, keeping my voice as monotone a possible. Not satisfied with my answer, Chan continues to press questions.

"What's the matter?" he asked, this time, his voice could only be heard by me. I look at him incredulously . He has the nerve to ask me that, knowing full well what he was planning to do with me? Chan gave me a confused look and decided to drop the matter and continue eating.

"Y/N." To my surprise, Han called me.

"Since you found Lee Know like that last night, you will be in charge of taking care of him until he wakes up. He is currently unconscious, but the doctor expects him to wake up within the next 24 hours." I stood up quickly.

"What?! I have nothing to do with what happened to him, nor do I have an obligation to help your gang or whatever. Leave me out of it." Han rolled his eyes at me.

"Well princess, you're here eating and sleeping for free. You need to find a way to repay our kindness." he said sarcastically.

"Oh, remind me again why I'm here for FREE? Isn't it because I was kidnapped and is being held captive?" I retorted. Han took a dangerous step towards me. Chan, who was beside me looked away.

"You WILL do as you're told. No one in the HQ has free time except you. Follow the orders, or there will be consequences." He said menacingly. Despite looking like an angry squirrel, I still felt fear course through my body at his threat. I didn't have to imagine what the 'consequences' were. My eyes darted to movement in the corner of my eye. It was Chan, clenching his fist.

"Fine. Show me the infirmary then." I gave in, terrified of what will happen gif I actually do refuse.

"Jeongin, take her to Lee Know." Han said as Jeongin complained.

"Ahh Hyung! Why me?!" He whined, flailing his arms like a baby. It was hard to believe that this man is the head of the interrogations unit.

"Ya! Don't talk back to your Hyung!" Changbin scolded I.N, slapping the back of his head.

"Arraseo, Hyung." He said, hanging his head in defeat. He then turned to me energetically.

"Come on Y/N-ah." He said as he started marching through the many hallways in the headquarters. I quickly followed him, knowing full well I would get lost if I didn't.

"Jeongin." he turned towards me and smiled. The innocence in his eyes were almost disturbing after hearing about the type of person he is from he night guards.

"How old are you?"

"20" he replied, making my eyes widen. He was only 2 years older than me?

"You seem nicer than Han." he let out a giggle.

"No, actually Jisung Hyung is super nice. He just doesn't trust strangers." I gave him a befuddles look.

"It's true. He's a really nice guy once he opens up. Its just that, well, we weren't exactly expecting you to come along so he's acting really mean."I shook my head. We climbed up a set of stairs and I was immediately greeted by white. This wasn't an infirmary, this was a freaking hospital!

"Lee Know Hyung is in Room 1. Goodluck!" he said before descending down the stairs and disappearing from my view.

I shook my head at his antics as I walked in the first room.

There he was. I would be lying to myself if I said he wasn't attractive, especially now that I actually see him in daylight. He was lying peacefully on the bed, like he was some sort of angel. However, I knew full well he wasn't.

I sat awkwardly on the chair next to the bed. I don't know what to do exactly. So I sat in silence for 15 minutes before someone walked through the door.

"Ah, you must be Y/N. I'm Doctor Charles, the official physician for Stray Kids. I was informed you were to take care of Master Lee Know so I decided to drop by and inform you of his care plan. You don't need to do much but you do have to clean his wounds up and pat him with a damp towel every 4 hours to cool him down. Expect him to wake up within the next 24 hours. The medical supplies you'll be needing is in that cabinet over there. Questions?" He rushed out, flipping the pages in his chart. I shook my head no.

"Perfect. I have other patients to see, so call me when he regains consciousness. " With that, he left. I sighed but began gathering materials to disinfect his wound, which I was definitely not looking forward to.

Nevertheless, I unwrapped his bloody bandages and applied hydrogen peroxide. Lee Know grunted in his sleep but remain unconscious. Next, I applied iodine to the wound, before applying Neosporin with pain relief. I carefully bandaged him back up. Thank goodness I was used to cleaning scrapes from the kids at the orphanage because this man's wound was no joke.

I tried to busy myself by rearranging drawers of medicine and cleaning the room. I also took it upon myself to check Lee Know's temperature every now and then, just to make sure he isn't running a fever. Funny how I used to want to become a nurse when I was younger. Deep down and before any of this happened, I still had hope of going into nursing, which is why I took special interest in caring for the kids at the orphanage.

Noticing a bead of sweat drip from his forehead, I ran a small towel in cold water and gently patted his forehead. Being this close to his face I started to admire it more and more. His long eyelashes, reddish lips and pale skin. His face seemed to by carved out by the Gods.
And don't get me started on his body.

I shook my head and put the towel away. There was literally nothing to do anymore. I don't know whether its because I tired myself out cleaning the room or because I hadn't gotten any sleep, but for some reason I felt incredibly sleepy. I leaned against the back of the chair I was sitting on as darkness took over.
