His Dreams

chapter 3

Yawn, Susan woke up feeling rather sleepy, this morning, and then she realized that she was late for work.

She was never late for work so she didn't know what came over her, she rushed into the bathroom to have her bath and then wore her clothes she didn't even wear makeup, while she was struggling with her shoes, she ran down the stairs (her room was upstairs) to get a quick breakfast before driving to her office.

She was late she didn't even have the time to greet her family.

Her sister must have heard her scrambling, cause she came out of her room to see what the problem was.

when she saw her sister struggling, and rushing even her breakfast she let out a chuckle and then went back to sleep.

She didn't have to worry about that cause she was self-employed she ran a tea shop, and she had someone look after the shop in case she was not able to make it.

Speaking of that, she too had to go to work she hadn't been in the shop lately and she didn't want to give Amelia, her manager too much work.

She went to the kitchen and decided to make breakfast, she was about to make breakfast for her mom when her eye caught a yellow sticky note on the fridge. She walked toward it and read it.

pls don't make breakfast for me, I made a quick stop at the grocery store and I may go to the nail salon and then go do my hair

She smiled and then tucked it back under a litter of other colours of sticky notes.
She had a cup of coffee with some toast then she went to get dressed as she had long had her bath (I don't know if that is correct).

She didn't drive she took the bus as her sister had taken the only car she had, probably disobeying the speed limit, she thought letting out a chuckle.
She got to the tea shop to see Amelia at the desk already set up, she smiled at her

"Good morning, am sorry, I don't know what I'll do without you "

" oh am flattered, but next time you are late am going to file a petition for an increment in salary "

"But am the Boss here," she said in between laughs.

" doesn't matter, I'll file it anyway"

" OK I'll wait," she said before going into her office.
She and her manager got along pretty well, they were like best of friends and made jokes she had other workers but only a few, her chef Michelle, as she also sold some pastries to customers with the tea, Michelle is a full-time worker, she came after she graduated from college and she knew the challenge of finding a job, so as soon as she saw the vacancy she applied, and she was a good baker.

The two other workers were waitresses, Zuzu as she liked to be called, but no one knew her real name, she was an open person and a chatterbox, it kept the customers company so Chloe kept her. The second in the other was a teenage girl, Madison who worked part-time for the money, she was a kind girl but she kept to herself most of the time.

Chloe sat at her desk and prepared for the day's work most of what she did was the bookkeeping and Amelia usually handled it whenever she was around

When Susan left the house she had taken the car as she was late and needed to hurry, well she did break the speed limit.
But there was no police officer in sight so she made it to work just in time, well before her boss started looking for her.

Her boss, Mr Deccan was the deputy general manager of Plush Co. It was an elite company but she managed to clinch only the position of his secretary.

And Mr Deccan was a rather obnoxious young man, and he knew how elite PlushCo was so he was rather rude to companies that were lower than it, But as soon as a company of high status send someone to Plush Co he always pretended to be an angel that he wasn't, and there was a company coming today so he was rather nasty,
As soon as he saw Susan he shot her a hard glare

" Why the hell are you just coming in now"

" I'm sorry sir, I- I didn't mean to, I slept in "

"Get an alarm, it'll d you one better, else you'll probably lose your job"

He said and walked into his office without so much as sparing her a glance.

She shivered at the thought of that. And went into her office.
