"Oh give me a hoooooommmmmme, where the buffalo rooooaaaaaaam," sang Kyle at the top of his lungs.

"Kyle," said Blake trying to get Kyle to stop.

"And the deeeeeeeeeeeeer and the antelope plaaaaaaaaaay," sang Kyle, not even hearing his brother Blake.

"KYLE!!!" shouted Blake a much louder while holding his hands over his ears.

"Where seldom is heeaard a discouraging wooord," sang Kyle with his head back, eyes closed really getting into the song.

"Kyle!!!!!" Blake shouted again even louder. "I am going to give you a discouraging word. You can't sing!"

"And the skiiiiiieeeeees are not cloudy all daaaaaayyyyyyyy!" Kyle ended the song dragging out the last word.

"Right now I would settle for a thunderstorm if it would only make you hush," Blake said with a terrible look of pain on his face. "Kyle you can't carry a tune in a bucket!"

Blake the Shake and Kyle the Smile, boy geniuses, were riding their horses across Texas, heading for Oklahoma. Kyle was riding a beautiful black stallion and Blake was riding a white stallion whose coat shined so bright it almost sparkled in the sun. They had found the horses running free on the range and had rounded up the herd. Breaking the stallions was a job too great for most people but since the two boys were geniuses they had the stallions broken, saddled and were riding at a full run in no time. These two horses were the best.

It was such a pretty day Kyle couldn't help himself. He just had to sing, much to the dismay of Blake.

"You two are funny." Blake and Kyle heard when Kyle had finally hushed. They looked around but didn't see anyone.

"Who said that?" Asked Kyle.

"I did. Who do you think?" Came a voice, but the boys still didn't see anyone.

"Who are you?" asked Blake.

"Never mind who, where are you?" Kyle asked, looking all around.

"I am down here," said the voice.

The boys looked down and saw what looked to be a big anthill. Then a furry head came popping out of it. It was a prairie dog. As they looked around they discovered they had ridden out in the middle of a large prairie dog town. Little furry heads were popping out of the hole and then, after a quick look all around, darting back in many of the hundreds of prairie dog mounds they saw.

"Okay, we spotted you. Now who are you?" Kyle asked.

"Names Pete," said the prairie dog.

"Well, who is that little guy in the next hole?" Blake asked spotting another head popping up.
