Don't Turn Back [Discontinued for now]

Chapter Four: Day One

"What the fuck were you thinking Zac?" Wither asked furiously, "You can get yourself killed doing this." Zac lowers his head, "I won't die, I have a plan..."  Wither shakes their head, "What is it?" 

*A few minutes later*

"That might just work, but how would we do it?" Wither asks, Zac looks at Wither, "Do you have a human form?" Wither looks at him anxiously, "Are you wanting to take me into public?" Zac nods his head, "That's exactly what I need to do, I need to take you into public so you can help me research how we can execute the plan." 

Wither sighs hesitantly, "Fine.." Wither's white skin turns into a pasty white, their hair changing to be short like Zac's, their once white eyes now green, their horns and tail are gone as well. 

Pink dusts Zac's face for a moment, "Wow! Your human form is very nice Wither." Zac says with a smile. Pink dusts Wither's face too, "Oh- um thank you?" they chuckle. "We should find a town." Zac says. "Here," Wither offers "Hop onto my back." Zac gets on Wither's back, "Okay what now?" Wither looks back on Zac. "Hold on tight okay?" Zac cocked his head, "Ok-"  Wings came out of Wither's back almost knocking him down. "WOAH! THAT WAS FUCKING SICK!" Wither flicks their head forward. "Thank you! Now hold on tight." Zac tightens his grip on the demon.

Wither takes off flying super high. "OKAY! I'M GOING TO TELL YOU WHEN IT'S OKAY TO RELAX A BIT!" Wither yells. "OKAY, THEN!" Zac responds feeling like he's gonna throw up. 

*Two minutes later*

"OKAY ZAC YOU'RE GOOD TO RELAX!" Zac crawls onto Wither's back and sits there enjoying the wind in his face. That is until he felt himself slipping.

"WITHER CAN YOU GO A BIT SLOWER?" Zac says worried, "WHAT DID YOU SAY? SORRY I CAN'T HEAR YOU." Wither said, "QUICKER?" Zac panics, "NO!" Wither was confused by what their friend was saying. "I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE SAYING?" Zac was panicking, it was getting harder to stay on his friend. "DON'T GO FASTER!" Zac screamed, "GO FASTER?" Wither asked confused, "AHH!" 

Zac fell off

As Zac screamed and plummeted to his inevitable death below Zac begins to reflect on his  miserable life. He remembered his childhood friend who passed away, Willow, She was the prettiest person Zac had ever met, inside and out. She held him when he was upset with his family. They had a lot in common, from their music interests to their sexualities. Willow was openly bisexual, her friends and family disowned her.   

Except for Zac

Zac loved her and she loved Zac, but the stress of bullying from everyone, the rumors, everything started to get to her. 

"I heard she likes boys and girls..."

"I heard she's a slut!" 

"She wants it all? What a whore!"

Every. FUCKING. DAY.

One day Zac went to Willow's house to escape from his family and calm down. Zac reaches for the door and knocks. "Hello?" Willow's mom opens the door. "Oh, Hi Zac... She's in her room..." She was basically speaking venom. Ever since Willow came out she was like this. "Thank you miss!" Willow's mom turned around. "Yeah..." 

Zac ran up to Willow's room to find her door was locked. "Willow? You in there?" No response. Zac was getting worried. "Willow! Open up! Please? It's Zac!" Still nothing. "Willow?!" Zac was raising his voice out of concern. "WILLOW!" Zac shouted. Willow's mom came upstairs "What's wrong sweetie?" Zac looked at her in panic. "She's not responding to me, plus the door's locked." Willow's mom knocked on the door. "WILLOW! YOUR FRIEND IS HERE! OPEN UP!" Nothing...  "I WILL KICK DOWN THIS DOOR!" Still nothing... "I AM COMING IN!" With one quick swipe of her foot the door did nothing, the next kick however knocked the door off of it's hinges, one last kick and the door fell. Willow's mom moved the door and looked inside.   

There she laid on the floor...

Dead.

Zac screamed while Willow's mom ran downstairs to call emergency services. "WILLOW?!" Zac ran over to her motionless body. "W-Willow?" He approached her body and knelt down. "Hey it's gonna be okay..." Zac said through tears. Wiping hair out of Willow's face he notices her eyes. The once vibrant and happy green eyes now a dull sea green and clouded with pain and sadness. 

When the police arrived they took her away breaking the news to Willow's mom and Zac. Both sobbed and hugged each other trying to comfort the other. "Zac I need you to know one thing," Willow's mom said, "If you ever need anything I'll be there for you. I will accept you no matter what. I will do everything in my power to prevent you from hurting yourself like Willow. I love you."

Zac wasn't ready to accept the apology just yet.

He needed time.

To think

And to comprehend whatever the fuck just happened.

As Zac snapped out of his daze he looked at the bright blue sky and braced for impact.

Zac was ready to die.

Zac closed his eyes and prepared himself to be transferred to the next life. 

The ground was coming closer and closer. 

And then he felt two arms catch him.

It was Wither. 

"ZAC ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE?! YOU COULD'VE DIED!" Wither yelled, "I'm sorry I tried to tell you to slow down but you didn't hear me." Wither sighed, "Then I should be sorry that I didn't hear you." Wither was beginning to focus flying, "So what were you thinking about when you were falling? You looked to be deep in thought." Zac looked in their eyes. "I was remembering and old friend that..." Zac paused, "that... passed..." Wither looked at Zac pitifully "I'm sorry to hear that Zac I bet they were an amazing person." Zac nodded. "Thank you Wither, I really appreciate it. She was great."

Wither continued to fly upwards saying, 

"Look a city!"
