"Thank you! Have a nice day!"
Charlotte replied to the lady as she took her fruit tea from the counter, she left, smiling at the small ring from the doors bell and off she went on her way to the local library, one of her favourite places to go on such a cold afternoon. She blew gently on her tea to cool its surface a little, and tasted it with the tip of her tongue. Smiling with a slight red blush, she took another sip. Such delicate flavours mixed together into a tasty beverage, Strawberry, her absolute favourite, what a lovely day this was, having her drink and book in hand. Everything was going just as planned, now , just for her quiet afternoon of reading to go until it was time to head back home.
Charlotte was a petite woman, looked 18 when she was really 23. She had a cute trend in the way she would dress, as well as neat, as if she was going to really important places every day. She had long brunette hair in which she would normally have up in a ponytail with her bangs hanging loosely and curled on each side of her face. She also usually kept her favourite beige handbag close by her wherever she went, it was her grandmothers before she passed, so it meant a lot to her to keep it on her everyday. She had pale white skin with a few freckles scattered across her face, especially on her nose. Her dark chocolate eyes with her beautifully long lashes sat perfectly on her nicely shaped face. Her body was slim and small, but she still had curves which she loved to embrace with cute, tight clothing. Charlotte was quite used to being called a 'perfectly made human' and even though she liked the compliments she would get, she often felt bad about it, as she always believes everybody is perfectly made in their own way.
Arriving at the library, she took out her book from her small beige handbag, she sat at one of the more isolated tables, in the far right corner, ah, such peace and quiet, just how she likes it to really get into her book. Just as she was really getting into her new fantasy book 'Tales of the Hybrid Princess!' she was interrupted by a small thump next to her, as someone new to this library in particular sat on the chair beside her. She gasped only slightly and peeked up from her book, glancing at this new person beside her, hmm, nobody ever sat on this table she thought to herself, scanning this unknown girl. Her thoughts were soon also interrupted when a voice rung in her ears.
"Hey!"
Such a gentle and beautiful voice..she thought to herself as her cheeks turned a slight pink. She quickly shook the feeling and replied to this beautiful stranger.
"Oh hello there....Say, I haven't seen you around here before, may I get your name? I am Charlotte by the way."
The girl smiled and developed the same small pink blush as Charlotte. Suddenly holding out her hand and grinning she boomed,
"Sweet name! I am Ivy! Unusual name I know, but hey ho."
She rubbed the back of her neck, almost nervously about sharing her name. But, Charlotte loved it, it sounded fairy like, and reminded her of the pretty plant Ivy. In which she likes, since she loves plants.
"Ah! What a lovely name!! I love it! It is so unique and pretty."
Charlotte giggled and smiled cutely after saying this, to seem more reassuring and honest to try ease Ivy's nervousness, she earned a small giggle and a smile in return.
"Thank you! You have a pretty name also! You are the first person to compliment my name so much, thank you again, really."
Charlotte giggled once again, her cheeks starting to feel a little warm..this girl, Ivy. She acted so cutely, but so confidently, she couldn't help but blush right now, she felt, warm and light around this new person. What was this? She didn't even know this girl yet she feels like she has known her for ages. Charlotte quickly shook away her thoughts as she heard Ivy speak up again.
"So, how are you?"
Ivy said with a small smile, she seemed to want to carry on talking with her, as if she was intrigued by Charlotte. Charlotte obviously admired this and smiled back.
"I'm well thank you, just reading and enjoying some tea in one of my favourite places, on this cold afternoon"
Ivy seemed interested and nodded slightly.
"Oh yeah that's cool! I was just popping in to try get into books and get out of the cold. My Ma at home keeps bugging me about not being into reading and stuff like that like her, I honestly don't see the issue, it ain't my fault I'm into things that would be considered boyish."
Ivy rubbed the back of her neck again which Charlotte noticed, maybe this is how you could tell Ivy was nervous. Charlotte guessed that she felt she had rambled on a little for their first encounter, so, Charlotte reassuringly nodded as if to say, carry on.
"Heh...My Ma is a bit traditional, she isn't a fan of me not being all girly and pretty princess like..but what can you do? Haha."
Charlotte listened carefully to Ivy. She understood where she was coming from. Ivy did have a more tomboy style, She had tanned skin that fit nicely with her emerald green eyes. She had fluffy, short blue hair with purple highlights. It almost looked like a galaxy, which Charlotte admired. Her clothing style was more of a punkish tomboy aesthetic which honestly really suited her and her confidence. She had a bigger build than Charlotte, she looked as if she would be taller and although she also had curve, she had a lot more muscle than Charlotte, but not an overwhelming amount. She had a few piercings in her ears and a nose stud. She looked really cool in Charlottes opinion. Whilst analysing all of her features, she noticed her face became a little warm, as if she was blushing at the looks of Ivy, she couldn't stop thinking about how strong and confident she looked, so much more than herself, she loved it.
Wait, she thought back for a moment...her face was warm? But why? She had only just met this girl. But... she felt a connection to her immediately, like they would really get along, she wanted to know more about Ivy. She wanted to become closer, like friends, or maybe best friends, or more? No, wait, she was getting caught up in her own thoughts, Ivy was just so fascinating in her eyes and it was pulling her in, but she didn't know her well, so she needed to slow down and figure out why she felt this way. She sighed as her thoughts raced around her head and looked up at Ivy with a small, cute smile across her face, pulling out her phone.
"Hey...you seem like a lovely girl. Mind if we stay in touch?"
