I sat there.
The feeling of tears welled in my eyes.
My soft, white fur, already soaked by mascara.

My name is Adeline. I'm 5'7, a white haired rabbit with blue eyes. A full face of makeup applied almost every day.

Today I wore a soft blue dress. Simple makeup. And now I sit. A mess.

The metaphorical blood welling up in my throat.
The pain aching in my side.
They have left me.

The day, August 12th, a crisp Friday.
I started school today.
I had been gone. Absent. Due to crippling family issues.

Our honor still hung high above our head though, and nothing shall change that.

I walk into school.
Everybody has changed.
Height.
Weight.
Beauty.
Friends.
And social statuses.

I go to my friends, they glare. They pity. They fake their smiles. They don't talk. They..leave.

I collapse. The hallway filling with my crimson colored blood as tears well in my eye. I have been shot.
Shot by the feeling of betrayal. I pick myself up. No one noticed. No one cares. I walk to class. Alone.

And now. I sit. Alone in my huge room. Surrounded by meaningless items.
What happened.
Why!? Why did they leave?
This is unfair.
Unfair unfair unfair.
Terrible.

My mother knocks at the door. Her soft voice floating into the room.
"Sweetie. Dinner, five minutes. Get yourself ready, we have guests."

I simply nod, and prepare myself. Fix myself. Make myself perfect like Mama wants. And I walk downstairs.
