“Namjoon?” you exclaimed making him stand up and smile at you. You smiled back at him. He hugged you by your waist and you frowned confused.

He then lifted you off the ground making you squeal a little.

“What’s wrong?” you asked pulling away a bit still in his arms.

“Nothing. I felt lonely at home. I came here and thought at least I’d spend time with you and your father but no one was here so I kept waiting” he breathed out.

“I’m sorry. I was at my friend’s doing the project” you lied smoothly.

“Friend?” he frowned and you nodded. If you said it was Taehyung, another fight would erupt between both of them.

“Yeah friend” you nervously chuckled.

“Taehyung is your ‘friend’? I might not be in class but I know you were partnered with Taehyung. The teacher told me after I asked her if I could get paired with you” he said and you instantly felt guilty for lying to him. He cupped your jawline resting his thumb on your cheek and the other four fingers behind your ear. He made you look into his eyes.

“Why did you lie to me? You never did” he whispered. You both were dangerously close to each other.

“Whatever I did both of you were always fighting with each other so I didn’t want to say anything” you said what you have been feeling due to both of them. Namjoon felt bad for putting you in such a position.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t know I have been doing this to you” he said sincerely. You nodded. He kept glancing at your lips from time to time.

You knew what was going to happen. He slowly leaned in a bit wanting to close the gap in between you both.

“Joon…” you trailed off making him snap back into his senses and pull away. He gave you a small smile.

“At least now, I hope you know what you feel for the both of us” he said and smiled at you. You felt guilty for doing this. But by kissing him, you felt as if you were doing a grave mistake. Breaking Taehyung’s heart. You didn’t want that to happen.

“I’m sorry” you voice wavered making Namjoon immediately hug you.

“Hey, hey! It’s okay angel. Come on stop that. I’m not hurt” he said and fakely chuckled making you sob into the sweatshirt he was wearing. He pulled away and placed his lips on your forehead placing a small lingering kiss there.

“Don’t cry, it hurts me more than anything” he said and bent down to your level to look into your eyes.

“I don’t want anything to change in between us. Please just be my best friend like you have always been” you cried making him let out a small chuckle.

“I’m always going to be with you” he smiled and you smiled back at him. You both then heard something rustling. You turned around to see the bush rustling.

“Who’s it?” you raised your voice but no one spoke up. So you decided to go take a look. There was no one, but there was a familiar car which just took off from the end of the street. Taehyung’s car.

‘Did he see us? Did he misunderstand?’ you thought to yourself terrified by the thought. You didn’t want him to think anything after everything that happened between you both less than a few hours ago.

“You look like you saw a ghost” Namjoon suddenly chuckled.

“It was Taehyung. What if he misunderstood us?!” you muttered feeling nervous.

“Hey nothing is going to happen. Go in for now and then visit him tomorrow morning yeah?” he said and you nodded.

“Thank you so much Namjoon” you smiled gratefully at him and he smiled back at you, taking his steps slowly towards the exit of your house.

Taehyung POV :-

I was in the car grinning to myself after Yn left giving me a small kiss on the cheek. I felt my heart beating out of my chest. I looked around the car and found Yn’s favourite band there.

‘Maybe I should go and give it to her’ I thought to myself getting down the car. I was going to enter the house but saw Yn and Namjoon at the entrance hugging each other. So I decided to hide behind the bushes.

I could see Namjoon and Yn’s back. I then saw both of them talking for a minute or so and then leaning in and kissing each other.

I felt an unusual pang hit my chest making my eyes tear up.

‘Here I thought I was the only one! HUH! Kim Taehyung you would never be the one for her’ I thought sadly chuckling to myself.

I sat down on the floor turning my back towards them. Tears started flowing down my eyes making my vision blurry. I covered my mouth not to make any sound. I suddenly heard Yn’s voice.

I panicked and ran away from there jumping into my car and speeding it up. I knew that it wasn’t safe for me to drive in such situation but I can’t help it. It felt good.

I made my way home and sat down on the single couch curling myself up into a ball. Tears rolled down my cheeks. I knew what I was getting myself into right from the day I agreed to it. But why does it hurt so much?

I took a small glance at the couch we both sat less than a few hours ago. I saw both of us there making more tears roll down my eyes.

Suddenly the doorbell rang making me flinch. I fixed myself before reaching the door. I opened the door and was met by someone I least wanted to see now.

“Lara?” There she was, my first love. Drenched in her own tears which were flowing out of her eyes.

“Tae” she sobbed and immediately jumped into my arms.

[Next morning]

You wanted to clear things up with Taehyung. You knew what you felt for him. You wanted him to know that too. SO you took off from your house earlier than usual.

You made your way towards Taehyung’s house practicing everything you wanted to say over and over again. You took a deep breath and rang his doorbell.

The door opened revealing a beautiful girl who was comparatively shorter than you.

“Uhm… Who are you?” she said. Even her voice sounded beautiful.

“Lara? Who is at the door?!” you heard Taehyung shout from inside. ‘Lara? As in his ex? Wow Kim Taehyung’ you sarcastically thought to yourself.

Taehyung came towards the door adjusting his t-shirt as if he wore it just now and his eyes looked red.

“Yn…” his voice trailed off as soon as he saw your sarcastic smile.
