Temptation is a Curse

Chapter one

Some things are just mysteries.

Like, the Bermuda Triangle. No one has ever figured out how all those ships, planes, and people have disappeared, right?

Or how there could be a pre-historic monster at the bottom of Loch Ness called the Loch Ness Monster.

Hmm, maybe even how Santa Claus can go to every single house in one night could be called a mystery. (Or maybe the mystery is that he may or may not be real.....O.o)

But the biggest mystery, to me, is my sister Diana.

Why you ask? Well I'm happy to explain.

Diana is only a year older than me, and the only thing that we have in common are that we look freakishly alike; same pale skin, same bone structure, same dark brown hair, same icy blue eyes. I usually keep colored contacts in, to hide that icy color, but of course, Diana doesn't mind that.

Me and Diana, well you could say we are complete opposites. She's the outgoing, crazy, spontaneous girl who can have any guy she wants. I am the quiet girl who is on the outside looking in.

Diana has always been a mystery to me. But just because we have different personalities isn't the most puzzling thing about her though.

Diana never, ever, lets anyone in into her room. Her room is forbidden. Not even her boyfriend is allowed in.

This rule includes my Mom, Dad, Diana's twin Damon, and of course, me.

I've always wanted to know what kind of secrets she kept in her room. It's always seemed so mysterious, I just couldn't wait for the time when I snuck in and found out everything my heart desired.

Today was a perfect day to try.

No one was home.

I was sick in bed, just watching a random TV show when the idea hit me. I crawled out of bed and tip toed out of my room, even if no one was home to see me do this.

I walked across the hall, and stood before a mysterious room. A forbidden room.

The temptation was too huge to ignore, so with nothing holding me back, I bravely pushed open the door with my eyes shut tightly. I held my breath, not knowing what to expect.

I turned the knob slowly, not daring to make a sound.

This is it. I can finally solve the mystery.

I pushed the door open keeping my eyes closed.

Now all I have to do is open my eyes.

I opened my eyes, and immediately felt disappointed.

Diana's room looked just like any normal 17 year old's room. The room was a mess, covered in band posters and drawings and photographs. I even managed to find a picture of me on the wall, surprisingly enough. It was a picture of both of us, actually getting a long for once, and it was labeled : Dani and Me <3

As I was pawing my way through her room, something caught my eye.

A whole corner of the room was clean, and there were a set of double doors there.

AHA! That must be Diana's closet! I jumped over a pile of dirty clothes and reached the double doors.

I grinned mischievously as I thought about what pair of shoes I would take from Diana.

I tied back my loose, wavy hair into a messy bun at the top of my head so it wouldn't fall into my face as I pre-pared to dig through her closet. I adjusted my purple tank top and short zebra-striped pajama bottoms too.

Again, the temptation was too great to bear. I couldn't wait to see what kind of skeletons were hiding in this closet.

Then I slid the doors aside to reveal what I thought was going to be a huge messy closet.

I wasn't even close.

This mystery just got a whole lot stranger.
