Chapter-9

Taehyun POV

Riiiing~

Finally, it was time for recess. My day wasn't going really well today. First, we had a surprise math test in the morning on a topic I barely studied, and second, Mr. Jung caught Kai and me snoozing in literature class for the fourth time this month. Now we will have to go for detention, something which I hated.

"I'll see you at the cafeteria, Tae. I gotta go submit my geography homework. Bye," Kai zoomed past me at full speed, leaving me all alone.

I was walking mindlessly towards the cafeteria when a voice, as sweet as honey, called out my name.

"Taehyun-ah~"

My eyes landed on the most beautiful creature I've ever seen. Silver hair covering his forehead, light pink-tinted lips, long eyelashes that curled at the ends, skin as white as milk, and features that looked too delicate to be real. His beauty was unmatched.

"Taehyun-ah" he called out again, this time a bit louder.
I was brought back to my senses when he patted my shoulder and looked me straight in the eyes.

"Taehyun? Are you okay?"

"Yes yes hyung. I'm okay. I'm totally okay. By the way hi! Wassup?"
I mentally face palmed myself for constantly embarrassing myself in front of Beomgyu hyung.

He chuckled and pinched my cheeks. "You are cute, Taehyun"

I could feel the heat rising in my face and I'm pretty sure I looked like a tomato at that moment.

"Would you mind if I accompanied you to the cafeteria?"
Beomgyu hyung wanted to go to the Cafeteria with me? How can miss this chance!

"Yes you can. In fact I'm all alone today"

"Why? Where is your friend? Heuning right?"

"Yes, Kai. He went to the staff room to submit his homework"

"Well I don't mind keeping you company" he winked and started walking, leaving me behind to catch up.

He bought me a hamburger and a can of orange juice, and for himself, he grabbed a pizza slice along with sprite. (insert hobi's "I like hamburger and SPRITE")

Beomgyu hyung insisted to pay for my food because apparently I was forced to spend my break time with him and that it was his duty to treat me. This was not true in any way but he won't listen, will he?

We were half way our food, talking about an anime show, it was mostly Beomgyu hyung who was talking and I was as usual lost in thought when Soobin hyung rushed to our table, looking all disheveled and out of breath.

"Beom what are you doing here?"

"Catching butterflies? What's up?"

Soobin hyung rolled his eyes and mumbled a "nevermind" before turning his attention towards me.

"Kang Taehyung right?"

"Yes" I nodded feeling intimated by his presence.

"Did Yeonjun come to school today?"

"Yes, he did. Why? Something wrong?"

"Nothing I just had a question I wanted to ask him"

"He must be in the library hyung."

"No... he isn't there..." Soobin hyung trailed off.

"You can ask him in the evening besides when did you start studying?" Beomgyu hyung piped in.

Soobin hyung didn't say anything and left the cafeteria, looking sad? I've never seen him like this before.

I turned my attention to Beomgyu hyung who was happily munching on his pizza. "Soobin hyung already knew Yeonjun hyung likes to hang out in the library."

"So?"

"Is he stalking Yeonjun hyung?"

Beomgyu hyung started laughing at what I said.

"Did I say something wrong?"

"No Taehyun. Hang on"
After a moment or two, he caught his breath and returned his attention to me.

"Soobin likes to observe him and that's it. He isn't a stalker"

"Well if you say so. But it's weird how he knew Yeonjun hyung's whereabouts" I was still confused because these two weren't even friends.

"Well keep it a secret but Soobin likes paying attention to Yeonjun. Don't worry too much"

"What do you mean?"

"Don't think too much and finish your food quickly" he patted my head and I forgot everything. Forgot how to even breathe.

The bell rang, signaling that recess was over. I didn't want to leave Beomgyu hyung. I really liked his company and he seems to have enjoyed it today as well. Kai didn't show up and I was thankful because I was able to spend the whole 30 minutes with Beomgyu hyung. He was a nice guy who was cool to talk to and his presence made me happy.
I mentally face palmed myself for thinking like this about the boy in front of me. What the heck Taehyun? You sound as if you like Beomgyu hyung. I shook my head, trying to stop these thoughts from coming into my mind. I don't like him right? Or do I?

"Come on Taehyun, I'll walk you to the changing room"

"Wait. How did you know I was going to the lockers?"

"I know you have P.E class" he chuckled and ruffled my hair.

"Woah hyung! How did you know?"

He smiled his precious smile that was capable of melting my heart and winked.
"Let's say that it's not just Soobin who pays extra attention to his crush"

BTW guys the majority of chapters are going to be Yeonjun's perspective except a few. If a name is mentioned in the beginning (like in this ch) then it's their pov and if not, then Yeonjun automatically becomes the narrator.
I'll make sure to mention whose pov it is in the beginning to avoid any confusion :)
