This is kinda depressing view. I know. Sitting at the corner while staring out the window looking particularly at nothing except the forest that was coating by the darkness. Nevertheless the view that I already get used over the past year. I sighed again. it’s been an hour but my partner is yet showing up. I glanced over the clock attached to the white wall. 8.35pm and I will leave if she doesn’t show up within 10 minutes. I should’ve agreed when she said exchange our number. Why did I refused to the offer again? oh yeah. Because I don’t really fond of having anybody else had my number apart from my mother and my…I don’t think it’s important. It’s a lot more depressing if you go through my contact list only discover there’s only my mother and Ms Kimberly number. Who Ms Kimberly again? Ah. She was my therapist since last year. The one my mom got for me. After all those year she persuaded me finally I have to give in. Not for her, but for the world she said that I can’t run away from. And she was right. I was 19 years old and in the middle of sophomore year in college. Major in photography. Moving out from San Francisco to New York 8 years ago and was home schooled since then. It was mother’s decision and I’m thankful for that.

“Sorry I’m late” The sound of the chair dragged against the floor. I turned my gaze from the darkness to the smiling girl sitting across me. Return her a half-smiles, one of the smile I used to someone I’m not used too. Which is everyone.

We feel into an awkward silence for a while just looking at each other. At least for her, I don’t feel awkward because I’m used to not talking so I like it like that. I don’t know how did we end up as a partner for the assignment maybe she picked me?

“So, let’s get started” she chirped clasping her hands together with big smile while I just nodded my head and taking out my note book putting it on the table quietly.

After two hours we finish the assignment, the only thing there’s left to do is print it out and hand it in the morning class. We bid each other good bye at the library entrance and she walked away towards the black Camry that was ready waiting for her. She offered me a ride home as usual I refused her offer. Tightens my bag straps on my shoulder and plugged the earphones in my ears and walk leisurely along the path towards the university entrance. Watching as people passed by me and I will lower my gazed. There are still many students walking and hanging around the campus at this time.

The 15 minutes journey home was filled with the paper kites song. I stopped at the restaurant in front of my apartment building and had a take away of chicken pasta. I live on 12th floors apartment and my apartment is on the top floor. I live alone. After reaching the top floor I stepped out of the elevator and unlocked my apartment door and switching the light on filled the living room and kitchen that only separated by the kitchen counter. Taking off my jacket and hanged it behind the door after locking it. I plopped down on the red leather couch my favorite spot. My bag was discarded next to me on the couch and grabbed the remote control to turn on my small TV. Then I start dig into my food while watching the nanny.

The day usually went pretty fast every day except for tomorrow. Tuesday.
