LOVE IS WAR by nicooliothewriter

.

"This should be far enough, sir." You mentioned along to the blonde-haired man, his darker-dyed ends adoring him like a crown. "Thank you again for all your time."

"It really wasn't a problem at all." Naoya mentioned coolly, waving dismissively before a certain voice tore your conversation into pieces, rippling loudly throughout the entire train station.

"Hey, there you are! It's about time!" It was evidently the white-haired man that you worked for, his tall figure leaning comfortably with his weight shifted as he waved you down. He wasn't super far away, but enough that he didn't want to intrude on your good conversation with the mysterious man. You turned to look as him, desperation flooding your expression.

You eyes widened in an attempt to get Gojou to play along, and he furrowed his eyebrows as if to say, "I don't get it, what do you want me to do?"

You cleared your throat loudly, turning to Naoya, who you could see was now evidently staring at Gojou with a slight grin on his face. Gojou flashed thumbs up at the man.

You bowed to Naoya, stating a quick "If you'll excuse me sir, that is my master over there waiting for me." You said your words plenty loud enough for Gojou to catch on, and he nearly burst into laughter when he heard you grit your teeth with the emphasis you put on 'master'.

Holy shit, I can't believe that I'm pulling this kind of crap right now. You thought to yourself furiously, before realizing that Naoya had switched his gaze back to you. "I see." He had muttered, clearly not pleased with the presence of the white-haired man behind you.

He suddenly leaned in closely, using one of his strong hands to gently push strands of your hair to the side before you felt his lips hovering by your ear. "Remember my offer." His warm breath crawled across your lobe, the remains of his words trailing down your neck with a tingling sensation. His voice was no louder than a whisper, his lips barely grazing your ear before he  backed away to turn on his heel, but only after giving Gojou a final glance.

You stood still, watching Naoya leave until he was out of sight. Once he finally disappeared off in the distance, your face instantly relaxed and you raced over to Gojou.

Before you could even explain yourself, his suggestive tone overtook you. "Master, really? I actually kind of like the sound of it, but I didn't think you would ever introduce yourself to strangers like that!" He cooed, purposefully pushing your buttons as you moved your hands to cover your face in embarrassment.

"Shut up, you had no idea what I had to do to save my ass, okay?" You retorted. a whine pulling at your voice as you began to immediately regret the entire situation.

"Okay, sweetheart. Whatever you say." Gojou finished with a smirk.

Off behind a row of bushes, the man that you had met sat quietly, spying on your conversation with the strongest sorcerer and taking note of how quickly your attitude changed. Unable to pick up the words of your conversation, he took in your flushed feature and embarrassed movements as well as Gojou's joking demeanor.

You clearly weren't a servant to the strongest sorcerer, he thought, you looked much more like a close friend. And yet despite that, you still played yourself off as a servant to Naoya.

How interesting. The man thought to himself, watching as the two of you moved to get onto the train, talking to each other on the way in. Naoya stood up, letting a small smirk twirl around his lips before he finally made his way back home.
