Eight Years Later, July 16th

"Jessicah! Jess! Wake up!"

Jessicah was roused from sleep by her sister. She was spending the summer at her sister and brother in law's Hyannis Port home to help them with their newborn daughter. She groaned and glared at her sister. "I swear to God, if someone isn't dying, I will hurt you."

Her sister's face paled and Jessicah sat up. "Jeanette? What...what is it?"

"It's John."

Jessicah frowned, John had broke up with her four years ago, but the two had spoken just the day before, he and his wife would be in Hyannis for a wedding, he wanted to see her. The words they'd left unsaid when they'd split, she'd finally have the courage to say them to him. She glanced at the clock. "I'm not meeting John until 11."

"John's missing, Jess. His plane is missing."

Her eyes widened and she grabbed her phone, frantically looking through her messages, praying somehow her sister was wrong.

"No...No...No!" She began to cry, shaking hard.

Her sister, watched helpless, as her husband ran in, the worry etched on his face. "I've called Dan and Graham. They're on their way, Jess...I thought having the old crew would..."

"I want John!" She doubled over, tears streaming and sobs full of pain, she knew in her heart, it was over. Not like it was over when they broke up, this was final and it was a stab in her already broken heart. How could this happen, she thought to herself, but the thought that lingered between herself, her sister and everyone else who gathered at the house that day, was...It should have been her with him.
