Kayla's POV--------

I walked to school that day. My guitar slung over my shoulder and a slight look of misery. Finally, I was away from my abusive parents! I looked at the school building, letting out a shaky sigh. This is probably the fifth school I have been to this year, no thanks to my parents. I wasn't really looking where I was going, just kinda walking with my head down before I heard someone approach me.

"Hey, do you know where the classrooms are?" I look up to see a boy, around the age of 16 (2 years older than me), looking at me with confusion. I could feel panic build up in my chest. I'M NOT A SOCIAL PERSON! "N-no, not really..? I just got here.." I said, trying my best to not sound like an absolute lunatic, and boy was my anxiety going haywire.

"oh... okay, I'm new here too..... Do you know where the headmaster is or the principal's office?" for someone to think I'd know where something was when I had legit just got here, they must be crazy. "No... sorry." I walked away awkwardly, and I've never been so confused and panicked in my life. I just walked around aimlessly, not really knowing what to do after that.

After 15 minutes of wandering, I found my dorm. FINALLY! I CAN SLEEP AND ESCAPE REALITY!!

I got a small notification on my phone. I looked at it. Of course, it said it was the dreaded time of the day. CLASS TIME. I collapsed on my bed, glancing at the roof. "Couldn't we have had five more minutes?" I sighed, sitting up and rubbing my eyes before getting my ass off the bed and heading to class.

Honestly, the class wasn't half bad. It was math class, but the teacher didn't really seem to care at all. He said something on the lines of "high-level math is unnecessary and that if we came to class, we would pass." All I did was continue writing the song I've been working on for a while, and no one really did anything anyways. There was the same person from this morning and another.. Female? Honestly, I didn't want to assume genders, so I shook it off.

The next class was biology, and my god, the class was so long and BORING! I don't even know why it was boring! The teacher didn't seem to enjoy his job, that's for sure. The class ended, honestly I was so relieved when class finished. I slung my guitar over my shoulder, heading to my room, closing the door with a sigh. I continued on the song, grabbing my guitar and starting to play a few of the notes. I had to change or fix a few of the music notes, but it was decent, at least.

I was singing along with the tune before realising the TV was on... wait a second- "did I turn that on..?" I groaned at myself; I probably just forgot I turned it on. I flicked the tv off, sitting back down on my bed. AND FOR SOME GOD KNOWN REASON, IT FLICKED BACK ON! I huffed, going to turn it off, took a few flicks actually to turn off... AND IT TURNED BACK ON AGAIN!

"Ok, forget it." I sigh as I land face-first on my bed. The things that I could see from the corner of my eye were weird, though. Like the tv would flash a few times, the people on the news channel disappeared for a second and returned as if nothing happened. A few minutes later, some text slowly showed.

"Don't fall asleep."

What the fuck is this? Does my tv have satan spawn in it? I wasn't planning on sleeping in the first place, so I listened to my songs all night. Damn today was weird...

I wonder what will happen tomorrow.
