I am sitting on a hill, and someone's with me.
I can't tell who.
It's a lovely picnic.
They offer me some cake, which I take gladly.
I take a bite and-

" Wake up, Prince. "
My eyes flutter open and I sit up in bed.
" Good morning, Doll! " I smile.
She gives a small smile and opens my curtains. " C'mon and get ready, it's your birthday! "

I smile.
" I nearly forgot! " I crawl out of bed and she pushes me into the washroom.
" Get ready! The towel's on the rack, and the Clothes are folded on the counter. The bath's already set! " she shouts to me from my room.

Doll is my witchmaid.
Every member of royalty has one, but by far, Doll's the nicest. She's only five years older than me, so she feels more like an older sister.

I strip then slowly get into the marble tub. I'm very self conscious, so I wash myself, while most nobles are bathed by their maids or groomsmen.
I scrub a potion into my shoulder-length brown hair. L'Oreal, because I'm worth it.

After I get ready, I walk out my door.
Mike, my personal guard is supposed to escort me there.
Of course, I'm late outside.
" Hey, Jere! A full fourteen minutes earlier than last time! That might be a record! " Mike greeted.
" I thought royalty was supposed to be treated with respect. " I retorted.
" So-rry, Prince-ness. " He joked.
" C'mon, we're late! " I started to walk ahead.
" Right there, 'Jere the Heir'. " He snickered.

We walked up several flights of stairs to the balcony that overlooked most of the kingdom.

" Your highnesses, Queen Gina and King Ferninad, I present Prince Jeremy. " Mike said with his
'guard voice', which is deeper or something.
I sat down in the smallest throne, which was on the left of the center, where my mother sat.

Once I was seated, Mike stood on the side of my chair, like my mother's guard, Bonnie, a trusted family friend with several magic prosthetic limbs.
On the side of my stepfather, BonBon.
Bonnie and BonBon are related somehow. Cousins or something.

" Are you ready for the kingdoms' entrances? " My Mother asked kindly.
I nodded in reply.

I heard the blare of trumpets.
