Chapter 10 Kisses and Laughter

Taylor POV

I was still laughing to myself as we went back to the Gem realm. That was the most unexpected thing ever. I know I'm supposed to ignore him but that was just to good.

He just rolled his eyes and tried to look serious. But his lips were twitching with the erge to smile.

When he came out the other side he still looked a little grumpy.

I rolled my eyes this time. "Suck it up butter cup." I smiled mishchviously, "We're are going on a adventure." And clapped my hands.

Maybe I could make this work... I mean at least until we find the sword, no reason to make this harder than it needs to be..... right?

Damon POV

On a scale to one to ten I am a thousand on the embarrassed scale. Oh my god why did she have to see that! At least she is actually talking with emotion to me. I call it worth it.

I can almost feel each brick of the emotional wall she put up around her heart falling down. I wish I could just kiss her and tell her that I love her. But then again she might not be ready and I could push her away in the process. I gotta go at her pace to win her heart.

She threw a gem on the ground and the ground opened up. She grabbed my hand. Her eyebrows scrunched together and she actually looked vulnerable in that moment. "Ready?" She whispered and her words were swept away by the wind, I used my vamp hearing to hear her.

"With you?" I said smirking. "Always love." I said and smiled a genuine smile.

Her lips parted in a silent gasp as I brought my arms around her waist and jumped down the rabbit hole.

There was colors everywhere and beautiful lights. But all I could concentrate on was Taylor's green, beatiful eyes staring at me. My gaze went down to her lips. The wind of us falling whipped past our hair and ears. She looked at me and wrapped her arms around my neck and she kissed me like her life depended on it. I bit her lip and then swept my tongue over her bottom lip begging for entrance and she opened happily. I explored her mouth not leaving a place untouched. When we pulled away from each other out of lack of oxygen, I noticed we were.... well I didn't know where we were, but it was somewhere I'd never been before.

I looked around in confusion then back down at Taylor.  She bit her swollen lip and smiled a little. She stepped back and I reluctantly let her. I felt cold without her in my arms and I could already feel the space she was putting between us.

I sighed, she needed some space, I could do that. At least she wasn't saying she regretted the kiss.

I rubbed the back of my head and gave her a small smile. "So... where are we?"

Taylor's POV

I kissed Damon! I can't believe I did that! It just felt right. I don't know how else to explain it.

That was the best kiss I have ever had. My head was spinning.

"Taylor?" He must of asked me a question. Damn my mind for not being able to operate right.

He looked smug though. Bastard. "Where are we?" He asked again.

"Umm," Where are we?!? Oh yes the sword... "Jupiter." I said cooly. Looking around and seeing the beatiful wild life. Jupiter was stuck in the season Autumn, right when the leaves turn the beatiful colors but didn't fall off the trees. And it was always warm too, this was the season all year around and I loved it. I have only been here a few times in my life, and I still loved the smell of cinnamon in the air, just like always.

"As in the planet?" Damon said gawked. "Stupid government." He grumbled when I noded.

I dug out the list of names in my pocket that Scar gave me. It said we needed to go to the Fire Forest and see a man named Gorge. I dug the Jupiter map out of my bag and looked to see where we were at. We were in the forest of love.... Great.

I smiled at Damon and he looked at me suspiciously.

"You need to be happy and act like you're in love with me." I said looking around.

He raised his eyebrow. "If you don't then the witch that lives here will kill you." I said in a sing song voice faking happiness. The witch wants everybody to be happy and in love, which is great and all except for the fact that if she thinks your not then she kills you. She went crazy when her true love died and thinks if you're not in love then you're better off dead.

He still didn't smile and I saw movements in the corner of my eye, knowing the witch was about to kill him, I did the only logical thing. I tickled him.

He smacked my hands away, laughing. As soon as I stopped though he frowned. So I ran and tackled him to the ground tickling him as he screamed and laughed. I straddled him and tickled him below his ribs while I held his hands above his head using my super strength of an angel as he squirmed.

His laughter was light and made me laugh. He managed to flip me on my back when I started laughing hard and pinned me down. I could get out easily I just choose not to. This just felt right.

He tucked a stray hair behind my ear as he breathed. "You're so beautiful."

For some reason his words made me feel wrong. Is that all he liked? My body? He didn't like the real me?

I scrunched my eyebrows and looked away from his lustful eyes. "Is that all you see?" I knew I should stay happy but I was fighting to hold back tears.

He stiffened and forced me to look at him as he tightend his grip on my chin. "Is that what you think? That I only see you're body? I see your strong personality. I see how you sacrifice everything for the ones you love. And most importantly I see how strong you are and not only on the outside. I know you don't need me, hell you may even not want me, but I'm honored to see you in action every step of the way. You're beautiful inside and out."

"I-" I didn't get to chance to reply as he kissed me softly trying to prove he ment every word. I like this side of Damon, I feel like this is the real him, behind all his cockyness and it's making me fall in love with more everytime he shows me this side of him. I arched into the kiss making sure he knew I felt the same about him.

When he broke our kiss, I was breathless and he looked happy about it.

"The witch is gone." I whispered as I looked around and he smirked as got up and helped me up only to pull me close to him and plant another quick kiss on my lips. Then he spun me and laughed a beatiful laugh making me laugh.

"Which way are we heading?" Damon asked and I got lost in his smile.

Sorry I havn't updated in forever I have been busy. I'm hoping on updating more this week.
