Untitled Part 1

"Alexis?" My mum calls up the stairs. "Can you come down here please? I need to speak to you." "Coming," I call, leaping off of my desk, scattering the maths homework I was completing. I stumble down the stairs, gripping the bar as I leap down four at a time, worrying about loosing my footing. "What is it?" I ask, walking into the kitchen. I see my mum stirring something inside a saucepan. "Okay, so Rosa is going away this summer holiday isn't she? To Barcelona?" Mum looks up. I nod silently. "Yeah, she's catching her flight tomorrow. We were just going to Skype as you called me." "Hm, okay. Anyway, as Rosa is going, I thought we could go on holiday too. And before you get excited, we aren't going abroad. No, we're going to go to Braunton. It's a village in Devon. We're going to see Grandpa and his riding stables and horses. When Granny died, he's found it hard to get work done. And now that it's the holidays, it's going to be rammed. Anyway, he rang me to ask if we wanted to go down and stay for a bit. Would you like to?" Mum glanced up from the frying pan, to see my delighted face. "Yes! YES! YES! I can't wait! This is so exciting! I've always wanted to go and see Grandpa's stables, I mean, the last time I went there is when I was five. And I couldn't ride. Now that I can ride, its going to be like Heaven." I leap around the kitchen. "Have you told Kallista and Troy?" I pause. My mum gives a small nod. "They can't wait either. Except for Troy anyway, he said he had plans with Maddie and then he tried to sneak out of it by saying that he could stay by himself." Mum frowns. I laugh. I know Mum wouldn't like the idea of him having girls coming over to the house unsupervised. The last time she let him, well, let's just say that it didn't end well for me or the girl. So lets leave that there. I skip over to mum, hug her before racing back upstairs to do my math homework so I can get it over with. Finally, when I finish it I find that when my homework scattered everywhere, my science fell down the back of my desk so now I have more to do. What a great start to my weekend! 

So guys, what do you think? I know I'm not a talented writer, I'm actually only twelve. It's my first upload so no hate PLEASE. I've tried to base this on real life experiences, so if it sounds strange, blame my life lol. So yeah, if you like it then comment! And if you don't, then I guess you don't need to comment.
