Sometimes it seemed it would be easier to be a pouge.

That was all Leyla Grass wished, to be a pouge. The meetings about money, the social status. She just wanted freedom, but she knew that freedom would never come to a kook like her.

"Mom! I'm heading off to the country club," I called.

"Sure thing hun,"

Ew. I hated when she pretended where I was going. She didn't care about anything but your status and money, two things I could care less about.

I didnt even like the country club, the only reason I was going was to see my best friend, Rayne Murchant. Yes, a pouge. Not that it even matters... to me anyway.

To be quite honest I seemed more of a pouge than Rayne. She had all cottage core vibes, perfect for the kook princess, while I on the other hand was a party animal. My mother didnt like me for that.

I got there to see Rayne serving the one and only Rafe Cameron and his friends.

My mother thought we were friends but it was really a frenimies relationship. More enemies then friends really.

"Look who it is, the kook princess,"
He was staring at me with a smirk on his face.

"Rafe I literally just walked in and you're already trying to tease me," I rolled my eyes and walked over to them.

"Hey Rayne, dont bother with these lot, get JJ Maybanks to serve them or something,"
I sat down on the spare seat at Rafes table. Sadly, we were in the same friend group.

"I'll be fine now that you're here Leyla,"

And with that she smiled her million dollar smile at me. Rayne could make any boy swoon with that smile, even if they were kooks.

After Rayne finished taking our orders and serving them to us, Topper suggested going out to the golf course.

"We can go but we all know who will win... and lose," Rafe smirked.
He glanced over at me with a devilish gleam in his eyes.

"I'm sorry but who won the Summer 19 Golf Tournament..."
I retorted, glaring straight into his eyes.

He put down his share of the bill and got up.

"I'll see you guys at the golf course," he grumbled.

Once Rafe stormed out the door, we all burst out laughing.

"Okay, okay we better go and get ready for golf," Sarah laughed.

We put the rest of the money down for the bill while I also put a 50 dollar tip for Rayne, with a little note.
