"Mary-San!"

The annoyingly clingy one tackled Mary in a tight hug, the blond blushing furiously. Ririka watched from behind the wall as both their faces lit up. I want her to be happy like that with me. Their laughter was too much. Turning away, she sighed deeply. Honestly, did she really think she had a chance? Jabami was funny, had a nice body, and was gorgeous. Ririka was none of those things.

"Ririka?"

Mary. She looks so nice.

"Um h-hello." Ririka hated the way she stuttered. Why couldn't she just be normal?

"What're you doing?" The blond placed a hand on her hip, the look on her face making Ririka smile underneath her mask.

"I was just..um.." Ah, of course this would happen. What could she say? Oh sorry Mary, I was just spying on you.

"Mary!" A certain black haired girl embraced Mary once more, both their cheeks burning. "Oh? Hello Vice President!"

Ririka simply nodded, not trusting her voice.

"It was nice talking to you again, I guess. See ya." Mary waved and dragged Yumeko away.

Don't leave.

Waving weakly, Ririka watched as they soon disappeared. Letting her hand slowly fall to her side, she took a deep breath and turned around to leave for a second time. It hurt. So badly. Maybe I'll talk to her tomorrow.

"What is it?" Mary seemed quite annoyed, staring at the girl who brought her out of class. Ririka gulped, her hands sweating. She wasn't ready.

"Look, if you're gonna talk to me, at least take off that stupid mask." And without warning, the blond removed it. Ririka felt her cheeks flush and she immediately looked away. Just get it over with.

"U-um..are you free? Like tomorrow night?" She managed to ask quietly, still looking away. There was silence for a few seconds and Ririka thought she might just evaporate right then and there.

"Oh um, I'm sorry but I have plans with someone." Mary finally spoke up, clearing her throat.

"W-with who?" Don't say it.

"Yumeko."

It hurts.

"Oh..alright. I'm sorry for disturbing you." Looking down, Ririka struggled to keep her tears in, desperately wanting her mask back.

"Y-yeah, it's okay. Maybe some other time?" Mary scratched the back of her head sheepishly, holding out the mask. Ririka immediately took it and walked off as calmly as she could. Students started to fill the hallways and she watched as Mary walked with the other girl, both smiling brightly.

It's fine.

She's better watching from afar anyways.
