Chpt. 4 Brain Explosions Can be Quite a Common Occurance When You're a Spy

Did I seriously just throw away my computer? I mean, really? Gosh, why am I so STUPID? That was a fake message, I'm sure of it. It was probably just spam or one of those ridiculous forwards! But even so, how did they know about my secret??? For all I know, some cop was probably watching. Or maybe even that girl was trying to fool me! She must be an undercover cop!

I'm thinking about this too much. I just need to lie down, and go to sleep...

"HARRISON!!".

 

"H-huh?", I manged to utter out.

 

"HARRISON!!!! Wake up!!!!", screamed Mrs. Galena, slamming my books on my desk.

 

"Oh", I said quietly. My classmates started to laugh. "Sorry, didn't get any sleep last night".

 

"Well, I would LOVE to hear more of your THRILLING story of your insomnia, but you're a JUNIOR now! GROW UP!!", yelled Mrs. Galena. Mrs. Galena is my Trigonometry teacher, and she's stricter than heck. Once when I yawned in class, she gave me detention because she thought that I "lacked any interest in 'important' life skills". Ok, that was partially true, but still! Detention?! I'm just lucky she didn't throw anything at me this time.

 

But I managed to stay awake until the end of the period. Thank God we have lunch next. I need some energy.

 

Robby and Avy had the same lunch period with me, so I went to go sit with them. We promised that we wouldn't DARE to say ANYTHING about the incident, so we ate lunch like any other guiltless peer would. Robby bought me a red Monster because he knew I didn't sleep well. Haha, smart Robby. If he would have gotten the blue kind, I would have punched him with the power I had left.

 

Why is it that 7th period is always the longest? Mrs. McCarthy was telling us about her RIVETING visit to the doctor in Minneapolis, which was boring and uninteresting. Perfect opprotunity to catch a few winks (the Monster only helped until I burned it off in Gym). But right as I was about to fall asleep, Bionca flicked me and passed me a note.

 

 

 

I got new glasses. Do they look stupid?

 

I gave a little chuckle and wrote back:

 

Nope, they look fine(:

 

I watched her open the note, she laughed.

 

Bionca has been my friend since the beginning of the year. She has long, natural black hair and dark brown eyes. She usually wears homemade t-shirts, pants that are a little too big, and white sneakers that she always draws on during class. She's the smartest girl in perhaps the whole school, but she was teased an awful lot. I sometimes have to defend her because nobody knows how nice she really is.

 

She stared at me for about 5 seconds, but then the bell rang. Abby O'Malley, the girl that Robby "accidentally" cut her fingernail off, book-checked her when we were walking toward our lockers.
