"You my dear, are my best achievement" he said as he held my chin up to look him in the eye. I looked up at him with all the adoration in this world as I spoke boldly, "I shall die for you father"
"A little more" he replied.
"I shall live to the dea...
I waited patiently a step behind Kane for his name to be announced. Once he started walking, I knew he'd been introduced so I gingerly followed behind him but the entourage in front of the door put a hand out in front of me and behind Kane. I stopped just before the outstretched hand could touch me and I stared hard at it. I looked up to the owner of the hand to see him shaking and sweating. He was mumbling some incoherent words but I was in no mood to read his lips. I raised an eyebrow at him and he quickly drew back his outstretched hand, mumbling what I assumed was an apology, with the acidic smell of urine filling the air. I ignored it and kept on till we were both standing behind the doors that were now parting as Kane walked in while I trailed behind him. I could feel the eyes on us as people tried to hide it but failed miserably as I strode in a step behind, looking straight ahead and analyzing everything from side-eye. Some were shocked Kane even showed while others were for different reasons known to them.
To say the place was beautiful would be an understatement, it was absolutely stunning. They had a black- purplish theme going on with the purity of white flowers here and there and two long tables set up extravagantly, with smaller tables scattered around. At the center was a very large square table with a bunch of flowers arranged at the center of the ordeal. It was also setup in silver ware and some of the chairs around it had names behind. It was a reserved table for special guests and Im guessing where the sovereigns will be seated. Some of them where already seated at the table. An entourage led us to one of the seats at the table and I noticed the vast distance he kept from us while doing so.

Kane took his seat at the table on the chair with his name behind, while I tore out the paper from the chair on his left and made myself comfortable. I received strange and some angry looks but I honestly could care less. They couldn't address me because: 1. I wasn't introduced to the party by Kane and 2. They're honestly too scared to respond even if I torch the damn place. An inferior cannot be addressed without proper introduction from his or her superior. They're not to be addressed or spoken to unless they're called upon, addressed directly or offered up by their owner. People like these are prisoners to their free will. They're mostly slaves, servants or simply anyone owned to be degraded in any way. So the hierarchy goes. Kane did not fail to introduce me for any of those reasons though. It's just ... well I'm sure you get it.
Suddenly, everyone's attention was turned to one of the men sitting at the table and I saw him parching up so I assumed he cleared his throat. I recognized him as one of the two top sovereigns, a leader of leaders. Amaury Ivan, a vampire and very strong elemental user. He's said to also have some sorcery descent. That is a very rare and very strong mix. He's strong and the army he leads, is quite impressive. Amaury leads an army of very strong and intimidating warriors. For most people to serve or be in the army or clan or coven or any group of a sovereign is a very high honor to be granted. Now for those that fight in the army of the sovereigns? Instant respect and high regard in the society. It is one of those cases where women brag to their fellow gossipers during their hangouts and tea parties because they have nothing better to do with their lives. And also they are rewarded handsomely for their service so they never lack in anyway and also a foolish ploy to keep the people loyal to their selves. Amaury's army may not be the largest in a number, but whatever they lack in size; they more than make up for it in vigor. Amaury's army is by far the strongest of the sovereign armies. But even all the sovereigns army doesn't match up to Fathers. And to add some icing to the cake, people don't even know what sort of army father controls, nor if he even has one. His mystery just fuels the fire of people's fear of him. But they do know one thing. His power is on a whole different level. And they're smart enough to fear him.
