CHAPTER THREE
Just as Yu Yin walked out of the school's front gates, he happened to bump into the two currently parking.
This drinks shop near the school that he had chosen was slightly more expensive, so there were typically not many people there during class time. In general, it could be called a good location to discuss matters.
After greeting each other, they entered the drinks shop and sat down at a table in a more remote area. Yan Si passed their orders over to the server before starting their official discussion.
He passed a few photos over to Yu Yin.
"These are...?" Yu Yin gave a questioning look at the two people that had come looking for him urgently out of the blue. He then began to study the photos on the table.
"Do you know where this is?" Li Zi Hong asked in reply while carefully checking his expression for any unusual signs.
Yan Si, who was sitting next to him, obviously knew what his intent was. However, Yan Si did not have the authority to intervene in this matter, so he just obediently sat there as Onlooker A.
After looking at the photos in more detail, Yu Yin quickly recognised that the photos were of the residence on the fourth floor of that building. There were quite a few of them, maybe a dozen or so photos in total. But after going through them all, he immediately noticed that they had been taken at two different times. One of these periods was while the wallpaper was still intact, before having been touched.
"These are the photos taken from after I accepted the case, and these are the copies of the photos from the initial case three years ago. I wanted to ask you to look at these two specifically." Li Zi Hong pulled out two photos that had been magnified specially and placed them on the table.
The second Yu Yin looked down at them, he felt his heart seem to skip a beat.
The two photos were of the same location, the same object. He could see the exact same drawer of the little shrine table. The only difference aside from the time and date was that one photo was missing "something".
The photo that had been retaken a few days ago was missing a pack of incense.
Yu Yin tried his best to recall that day they had entered the fourth floor residence. There had definitely been half a pack of incense in the little shrine table's drawer. He suddenly thought of something and raised his head to look at the two sitting across from him. "So when you guys went back in to take pictures, the incense had disappeared?" There had to be a reason for them coming to look for him in private. The ones that had entered and exited that place the most back then were him and Xiao Yu.
But why would he grab a dead person's incense for no reason? Xiao Yu probably didn't have any reason to grab it either...of course, his uncle would be the last person to touch such a thing. But they had been the first ones to go inside there.
"Went back in? Meaning that when you three first walked in, the incense was still there?" Li Zi Hong immediately questioned in response when he heard the implication in Yu Yin's words.
