Mask for Sins

The smiles we display for everyone to see

We laugh like we are so care free

But the truth be hold, it's just our mask for our sins

A mask for for our past we cannot rinse

We all have pasts to escape from

We all have one, expecting to come

We all wear masks like the phantom himself

We all try hard that we leave ourselves on the shelf

Tell me, if I let you see what behind the mask

Would you polish me like a husk?

Would you accept me and not judge me?

I know the answer, you will do just that like everybody

Your fooling yourself believing they won't leave you

They will always leave you if you are true

It's better with our mask to contain our pain

We blend with people like in a lane

Masks of our fake self, of our pain, for our sins

But that mask will soon fade like jeans
