Later, a few hours before sunset, Apollo and I calmly waited for the arrival of Diana and Nox. We had a plan to stop them from destroying the daylight, all that was left was for them to show up. I nudged Apollo with my elbow when a rustling caught my attention and pointed to the direction it was coming from. He nodded his head in acknowledgment and vanished in a puff of smoke. The plan had begun.

Diana emerged from the bushes and strolled to the center of the clearing. Diana always started the Dusk ritual, but where was Nox? She had to finish the ritual. Apollo entered the clearing as well and walked over to his twin sister. His booming voice could be heard around the clearing, "Hello Sister."

"Apollo," she said in greeting.

"Aurora has told me, Diana, that you are planning to take over my domain and destroy the mortal world in doing so." he accused.

Diana scoffed, "I was doing no such thing." Apollo took this in silently. They continued to speak, but I had tuned them out because Nox had quietly stepped into the clearing behind Apollo. I don't think he noticed her. So when she pulled out a small silver sphere, that was intended to send anyone, god included, to the Underworld, and started to sneak up behind Apollo I darted out of my cover and made a beeline for Nox.

I reached her before she could reach Apollo and slammed into her, knocking us both to the ground. I pinned her and saw that Diana and Apollo had also started to fight. I lost my hold on Nox and she flipped us, trying to pin me instead. Thrashing around I heard Terra whisper on the wind, Use the sphere.

I looked around and found it sitting harmlessly in the grass a few feet away. Nox saw this too as I punched her in the face and kicked her off of me. I quickly got to my feet and dashed for the sphere. Reaching the sphere, I picked it up and threw it, as hard as I could, at Nox, who was running toward me.

The sphere hit her square in the chest and imploded on impact, taking Nox with it down to the Underworld. Diana stopped fighting as soon as Nox disappeared and after saying a few things to Apollo vanished. Apollo approached me.

"What did Diana have to say?" I asked him.

He was looking off into the distance, "She said that Nox had tricked her into trying to take over my domain."

That's as much as I thought. "What do we do now that Nox is in the Underworld?"

"Ask her," he said nodding to where he was looking over my shoulder. I turned and saw Terra walking toward me. I looked back at Apollo but found that he had vanished as well leaving behind his famous puff of gray smoke.

"What do we do without Nox?" I asked Terra as soon as she reached me.

She didn't hesitate to answer, " We pick another Goddess of the Evening."

"A mortal?" I asked. She nodded and vanished too, probably going to find the next cursed soul to be granted immortality. I looked down and saw that a few wildflowers had sprouted where Terra had been standing. A smile found its way onto my face as I looked up and watched the sun set. Ending another day and starting another night.

So I had to write this story for my Lit Class. (I don't really know why) But it snowed (it rarely snows) so everyone freaked out and they called off school. I was sittin' here just playing around when the power went out. And I was like crap. So long story short I decided to finish this story and post it to Wattypad!! Yup ;3

I might post a sequel to this story, but you never know I might not. Hehe, I like being evil. If you want a sequel comment and tell me what you think it should be about!!
