Alex sat by the lake reading a book. She didn't like to read but she was doing it to learn more about magic. She wanted to one day cast a spell to summon rain. Her town had been suffering a drought. She read the entire book and still could not find out how to summon rain.
She walked down the river following the water until she reached her cottage. She went inside and began to make a peach pie for the picnic her and her girlfriend would have. They were both faries. Her girlfriends name was katlyn. Alex and katlyn lived together in a nice cottage. It was very small with a garden on one side and a lake on the other. They had a farm of guinea pigs. They lived happily alone in the forest. They don't usually see other faries so they try to keep it a secret.
Alex went outside to feed the guinea pigs when she had gotten an idea. She ran inside and got katlyn. "We should practice magic together!" She said happily. Even though they were faries they didn't use magic a lot. Alex was the only one who seemed interested in it. But Alex was shocked when katlyn agreed. "Of course!" She replied. They held hands and walked to the lake with a few books to begin studying.
