4. Memories

Chapter 4

Arrien was stunned when he saw the light that suddenly gathered in the man's hand. After he read the words that was formed, he realized that the man in front of him meant him no harm, so he relaxed a little.

While Arrien kept staring at the human in front of him .Azral seems to noticed that the mercub finally let his guard down and that it understand the words he showed, as he can't speak underwater he asked the mercub to go back ashore through the form of the light magic.

Arrien thought for a moment before he agreed with a nod not because he does'nt have a choice but because the human in front of him gave him a sense of security and he felt that the man will not do anything harmfull to him.

As they slowly swam ashore, Jason and the other two was anxiously waiting and contemplating whether to also dive in or not.

Even though they knew that their King knew how to swim, they still can't get reassured about his safety.

Jason and the other two finally heaved sigh of relief when he saw the sillhoute of their king swimming back above the water, but then, their heads were filled with question marks when they saw that the king was not alone, they saw a small figure swimming beside their king.

"......???"

When the two, one big and one small reached the shore, while the big man scooped up the smaller one's body gently and carefully, the little one's whole body was fully shown under the three men's stunned eyes.

"Yo..Your Majesty... that..that.."

Not only the two man, but Jason's always expressionless face also showed a hint of surprise that he can't help but stutter for the first time in his life as they saw the glimmering blue tail under a small child's body that was ocassionally swaying back and forth.

Azral, unaware of the three men's emotions, was deeply concentrated on holding the cub in his arms carefully, afraid that the slightest negligence could hurt the child's body.

"Your Highnes...may i ask if this child in your arms was what i think it is?"

This sentence brought Azral's thought back to reality.

"Yes, he's a mermaid cub, i found him hiding deep down the lake." He answered.

While the two were having a conversation, Arrien suddenly felt a piercing pain in his head, it hurts too much that he can't help but let out a painfull groan.

Azral and Jason both heard the soft cry of the little mercub, they both immediately paid attention to the cub's condition and noticed that the cub was holding his head painfully and his comlexion already turned white due to the piercing pain he felt.

"Little cub! What's wrong!? Where does it hurt?!" Azral panicked the moment he saw that the cub was in pain.

"Wuu....Head....it hurts.." Arrien replied as he continued to hold his head in pain. But he did'nt get to say anything else before he passed out due to his aching head, he felt as if his brain was being pierced by a thousand of needles.

"!!!!!!"

"Little cub! Can you hear me? Wake up! Wh-what to do? He seems ro be in pain!"

"W-Was it because i brought him out of the water that he's now in pain?!"
