"Oh boy..." Mimir burrowed his brows, rather than being relieved, he became upset about the current situation "how did we get here?"
"I don't know! Blame this on Ethan." Rossweisse is still pissy about before "it's his fault for cowering far away from us. Leaving behind to fend for ourselves."
"Well, certainly I can't push the human under the bus, as they say. He might've lost his way around again, you know.... like usual." Roygun defuses Rose, but that wasn't enough "we're in one piece. Captured by the light elves."
"You do realize we're in here for Ethan's onslaught on countless forms of plant-based lives here in Vanaheim.... right?" Says Mimir "granted we took down animalistic creatures despite pushing themselves onto us."
"....." cannot argue with that, Roygun shrugs to herself whilst comforting Rose to not blame Ethan
Found on an expedition back to home, leaving behind Ethan who disappeared without a trace, it wasn't easy recalling the paths they took. It was either circulating around one large path to A to B to A again, then the cycle repeats at least 3 times before falling victim onto a unnoticeable ditch, stumbling down as the god and the devil chases after Rose. Upon landing rear-ended first, patrolling light elves surrounded the defenseless Valkyrie with their on par magic and weapons. Wasn't even long enough for the other two being captured as well, an embarrassing moment Ethan would've poked fun of. A Valkyrie, a high class devil, and a god couldn't handle a few light elves? Man, what failed lineage did they come from? Mimir is excusable, the god isn't really much of a fighter but a knowledge keeper. That leaves two. Two. Rossweisse hadn't forgiven the human who left her, she is deeply reminded of the men who left her as soon as her sensitive side was shown. Rossweisse isn't charismatic as any other woman, never having confidence in her ability to seduce men no matter what appeal she presented. Whether it be in a advantage stage or strict yet wanting a man to break away from her cage, nothing worked. But this is the first time a man kept her company, longer than any previous men could've accomplished. I mean, sure, degrading her isn't attractive as she thought it would've been but better than complaining 24/7. Ethan kept her out of danger no matter the opponent. Ethan bossed her around completely, with freedom of doing whatever she wanted during small breaks. Ethan took small talks with her, developing medium length talks, to the longest conversation they ever had a few chapters ago. Wasn't developed on screen but we'll get back to that. It felt genuine to find a man who took the same interest as her: strict, strong, serving for the weak, humbled, kind-hearted, selfless, and a sensation to get stronger to protect the weak even more. Even if it meant for Ethan to lose his humanity bit by bit. That's the major drawback in the system, it's forcing Ethan to become an emotionless - unstoppable force that potentially has the power to move immovable objects. But, as Rose relived the past with Ethan.... his eyes looked colorful with her around. Like the dead coming back to life. Before it was empty, showing a grey presence within those eyes without possessing humanity, looking completely defeated by everything thrown at him - scarring the human mentally and physically. Yet, pressed on without resting. Ethan is forced to make decisions; to kill or be killed. Family or friends. Life or death. Humanity or something else. It's difficult. Ethan doesn't know how much can he hold out before collapsing.
".... you idiot..." she mumbles
Idiot. Wow, such affection towards the human, too bad he ain't here. Ethan would've just grunted and continued hunting.
"The tree summons you, Mimir." Standing by, a light elf received orders to release Mimir "you are obliged to avoid resistance, any signs you do no comprehend our orders will only worsens your crimes against the forests' law and the Light Elves."
"Politics, not my strongest suit. As you wish." Mimir accepted the terms and conditions, it's time to let loose that silver-tongued devil he was appointed at his youth
