Chapter 17 I'm the backup.

---Kanan's P.O.V---

We walked back to the ghost and sabine came running from the ramp. "Where have you been!? I've been looking everywhere for you." She put her hands up in a fake surrender "I've been with Kanan and Ezra training.  You know like I told you. Just before I went. " Sabine put her hands on her hips and roled her eyes towards her. "Well we have stuff to do. You know like you told me that we would do today. The gear..." Oceana put her hand to her head. "Oh! I am so sorry! I totally forgot about that. Do you want to go now?" She nodded. Oceana then motioned for me to go inside "we'll continue this later." Nodding I went into the ghost and into the common room.

---Sabine P.O.V---

Oceana puled two things off her utility belt. And handed me one.  "What's this?" She put her finger to her mouth and then indicated for me to watch her. "Watch this." Was all I got out of her before she took the small device from my hand again.

Pushin a small button on the side activated the device and it transformed into a board shape. "You ever used a hover board before?" "Well no actually. I haven't. " I said while scratching the back of my head. "Oh don't worry. You'll find it easy. I'm sure you will." She directed me to the board that she had put on the ground. Motioning for me to jumo onto the board. As I did so she took the other device and another board appeared. She jumped on hers and stood sideways. "Alright. So you need to stand sideon like this. And then leaning forward will propell you forward, leaning backwards will cause you to slow down and stop. When your stationary you need to push your foot off the ground in the direction you want to travel. I'll go over there and you have to join me. Ok." She then swept her foot across the ground and she was away. Quickly she reached a point about 50 meters infront of me and then beckoned for me to join her.

I swept my foot across the floor in a sweeping motion and lent forward.  The board started to move in that direction. Yeah. I got this. Leaning forward propelled me more untill I reached her. Then I leaned back as she told me and I stopped.  "Your a natural! Good job!" She then moved her board around to pat me on the back. Then round to her origional position. "Ok now to steer you can move your feet slightly or you can lean in the direction. Up to you. I prefer to lean simply because I can get out of a tight spot quickly.  Now come on, I need help with some very boring looking equipment."

And with that we headed towards her ship.

---Hera P.O.V---

"Hello love, If your looking for Ezra he is with Zeb. In the kitchen." Kanan sat down next to me in the Co-pilots seat. "I'm not looking for Ezra. I've already done enough training with him for one day." He sighed. "Hera...." He stood up and moved forward. He lent on the controll panel bei sure not to activate anything. "Do you think that I am a suitable master for him?"  This question took me by surprise, why would he doubt his skills to train Ezra. "Of course I do love. Why do you ask?"

"I dont have all of the training to make him a Jedi."
"So..."

"And I only realised it today. When Oceana told me about the offensive moves. That I don't know because of my lack of training.  I also dont have enough disapline or patience. I wasn't fully trained. So how can I fully train someone esle?" He slumped back onto the chair "Simple answer.... I just don't know anymore." I moved from my chair and nelt down. Putting my hand on his shoulder he looked at me. Then looked away. "Kanan. Yu are the best person to train Ezra and don't forget that." I began...

"But Hera. I'm not sure how to get it done."
"You'll find a way to get this done Kanan. I know you will."

He turned back to me and smiled. He then unexpectedly hugged me. I gladly accepted the hug and we stood up.  "Thanks Hera. you always seem to know what to say; when to say it." Pulling away from the hug I looked towards his turquoise eyes. "Your welcome dear." We then sat down in he cockpit talking about the days events.

---Kanan's P.O.V---

After my conversation with Hera I moved into the common room where Zeb and Ezra were talking. Well it was about killing stormtroopers so I'll let the kindness go. I then pulled up my communicator.

"Specter 1 to specter 5 and 7 where are you?"
"Specter 5 to specter 1 We've just been at specter 7's ship. Doing something were on our way back."
"Ok, just hurry up. Specter 1 out."

Hera walked in and I motioned her t sit down as Sabine ran. She was covered in fresh paint and had an extra gadget on her belt. "Where have you been? And why are you covered in paint exactly? " But I recived no answer and she sat down and motioned for me to start.

" Ok, so I've been searching for job's that will get us some credits. And I found someone who needs us to get some data onto hoth for them. And they want to pay really well. For it. And that data is here on lothal. In calus's office. "

"Ok. That sounds good but we'll need a destraction." Zeb put in.
"Sabine thats on you this time. You got this?"
"Got it. I'll go get my gear."  She then left the room and came back in with a box.
"But we'll need backup." Hera enquired.

"I am the back up..."
