Mattheo's POV

"I-im sorry" that was the last thing she said before she closed her eyes and succumb to the pain

My hands were shaking as she was laying unconscious inside my arms

What have i done?

This is all my fault, if-if i had been more careful she would have been okay

We all rushed to the car and took the seats we had before

I adjusted Seline so the knife wouldn't move or get in deeper and no in situations like this you don't put the knife out, she could easily bleed to death

My house and any other house that their owners have the same job as mine they have doctors in it and everything a doctor could need

Her head rested on my shoulder as my arm was on her ribcage holding her as still as i can

The scene was playing on repeat on my mind, the gasp that escaped her lips when the dagger stabbed her, her eyes that couldn't get off of mine, how her skin got more pale as the time passed, the pain who was written all over her face

And she did it for me

But why?

I would gladly take the dagger in my back and have her safe than this

I cannot lose her

And I won't

"Step on the fucking gas D'Alessandro" I spat harshly to Ace as he was driving

"I'm driving as fast as i fucking can, Russo" he exclaimed angrily, the tension on the car ride was huge and we didn't expect this outcome

When we arrived i put her immediately the the doctor's office

Yes, every mafia inside their huge house they have a mini hospital and a few doctors, surgeons and nurses in, of course thats not their only job

When the doctor, Nickolas saw the wound his nose scrunched up

"She needs surgery immediately" He said as he sent a message, probably to the other medical staff

"And you need to leave immediately this room" He told me as he was pushing me out of the room

I didn't wanna go but i had to i just glanced at her one last time before the door shit in front of my face

Her face even more pale than before, her lips dry, her long raven hair messy

"She's going to be okay" Enzo reassured me as he placed his hand on my shoulder

"I know that she is going to be okay but that isn't comforting, i will not stop worrying until i have her awake and healthy" I exclaimed truthfully

Ace looked at me and squinted his eyes

I just ignored it

Valeria was sitting on a chair, her eyes didn't leave the door for one second, dried blood all over her, messy hair and a few dried tears

We might not know Seline for long but she surely had and still has an influence on all of us

After a few hours Nicholas came

"She's okay" He said and i felt as if a burden was lifted off my chest and my shoulders, a sigh of relief came out everyone's mouth

"But she needs rest, only one of you can visit her-" I didn't let him finish and i went inside the room

There i saw her laying on the bed sleeping peacefully

Her skin tone was coming back to its natural color, she was now wearing a hospital robe and an extremely thin blanket was covering her from her feet to her torso
