Taehyung's flight was landing in an hour.
The whole of Kim mansion was a mishmash. People running about, servants cleaning things up. The large red carpet spread out by the door in the hall was being swapped by a champagne coloured one, just to match Taehyung's favorite aesthetic.
The antique candlelight chandelier along with the glass lamps were all shined and lit, tall chairs around the long eighteen seater dinner table aligned perfectly. Not that Taehyung cared about those particulars, but the Kims in general did like to maintain a certain propriety when it came to certain occasions.
The Kims of Daegu weren't exactly royalty anymore. But it wasn't like they were treated any less either. The Kims did belong to a family of rulers once, believed to be the descendants of the Gwangsan Kim Clan of the Joseon dynasty.
Once upon a time they held a supremacy that was unmatched in whole of the country, some of their source of influence reaching from as far as South Asian frontiers, from where a substantial part of their clan had migrated to Hangul back in the 12th century.
But that was pretty much back in the day. Now in the 21st century, the Kims descendants were more popular in regards to their business instead of their lineage. Just as impressive, if one might add.
The Kims owned huge properties in Daegu, being put to use in different businesses and consequent enterprises with their ownership on all of it. They had their branches spread over everything- food production, manufacturing, clothing and even entertainment. But above all they had a likeness for sports. Polo and archery being the major stakeholders.
They owned private training courts, equipment-inventories, trainers, coaches, just about everything a good sport requires. And also held a track record for sending most of their trainees to events like the K leagues and the Olympics as well.
All of it was looked after by one man-- Mr. Kim Tae Ho, the owner of Kims celestial family businesses and the head gem of his blessed joint family.
Yes, the Kims lived together in a big wide joint family. It included the head- Kim Tae Ho and his wife Kim Seonmi, who were the backbone of executive decisions of the family business. An old and goofy couple who were both great managers and born leaders.
Kim Seokjin was their eldest son and next in line heir of the overall Kim empire along with his pretty and kind wife Kim Jisoo. He was 30 and known to have taken after his mother in both looks and character and also was the funniest one in the family (or so he thought).
Kim Namjoon-- their second son and the more responsible one, led the sports company sectors as a managing director and was Seokjin's right hand man, 28 years old and currently engaged to his beautiful fiancé Kim Jennie.
Yugyeom was their third son-- 23 and the most careless, playful and brattish member of the family who held a rather bad reputation with women, but was still the most understanding and generous when it came to his family and friends. He was close to Seokjin in that matter, who liked to joke around a lot and were the literal partners in every crime. He was currently studying business and vouching to take over the clubs business of the Kims.
And last came Taehyung.
Kim Taehyung, was the youngest (as it was obvious) and the most babied (also obvious) family member in whole the Kim household. He was merely 21 but a total gem-- the most precious and looked after tendril of the family tree. Him being literally adopted from an orphanage managed by the Kims, had little to no effect on the fact that he was still his daddy's little prince, mommy's apple of the eye, the most beloved and pampered younger brother and brother in law. Even Yugyeom's temporary girlfriends adored him.
