Kim Seonmi stepped back, a happy gasp leaving her mouth as her youngest son launched himself in her awaiting arms.
"Oh my god-- Taehyungie you're here??" Her surprise didn't seem to fade even as the middle aged woman brought her arms around said boy, squeezing his form in her motherly grasp.
Taehyung squeaked, shifting in her hold to look up and into her loving eyes and he smiled a huge boxed smile, both their eyes disappearing into pretty crescents. He nodded at her question as if it wasn't obvious that he was really here, before the time his flight was supposed to land in Seoul.
"Yesh." He replied, trying to sound like a baby.
"But how? Wasn't your plane supposed to reach here by 12?" Seonmi questioned, finally letting go of her son. She looked quizzically between Namjoon and Taehyung, both of them appearing slightly sheepish.
"He lied--"
"Yeah i lied."
"--About the flight timings--"
"But it was NOT entirely my idea."
"Taehyung! Let hyung finish when he's speaking please?" Namjoon huffed, scolding his little brother. All in light spirits, everyone knew that. So in response all Taehyung did was stick his tongue out playfully at the elder.
"As i was saying, Taehyung had lied that his flight from NY was going to land in Seoul an hour later from the actual arrival so that he could come home all by himself and surprise everyone. But guess it didn't work because this little brat--" Taehyung suddenly whined when his older brother pulled at ear, rather painfully, "--forgot that his hyungs are still very much alive and do keep a proper check on the timings of every flight he takes, even if it is a distance from NY to Chicago for that matter."
Seonmi broke into a proud smile and beckoned Namjoon closer before wrapping an arm around his arm. "That's like my boy! Good job Joonie." She praised, tugging his tall frame sideways to make him reach her level.
While Namjoon was busy blushing and basking in his mother's praises, a big annoyed pout had settled on Taehyung's lips as he eyed between the two. He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked to the side to find Yugyeom looking equally annoyed at the mother son PDA going on right in front of their salads.
"You know, you were right when you said Namjoon hyung was mom's favorite child." Yugyeom clicked his tongue as Taehyung hummed enviously,"Even more than Jin hyung, now that i observe carefully."
"Excuse me?" The third voice, definitely belonging to their oldest brother, intervened, sounding beyond offended."you did NOT just say that!"
"Hyung you're none to talk. You have a wife now and for three years. At this point any guy would... infact should stop being a mama's boy and go after his wife!" Yugyeom told him, trying to appear serious when in reality he was only teasing his brother because he knew it irritated his Jin hyung a lot. Huh, payback time bitch.
Taehyung pursed his lips and cautiously turned to look at Seokjin, who had certainly gone red faced in anger.
"What did you say? Come again!?" The older challenged, already rolling up his sleeves as Yugyeom began to back away from him in faux fear.
"No-- hyung i didn't say anythin--"
"Oh no no no, i think i clearly heard what you said earlier. Come here you brat I'll remind you myself!" Seokjin said, releasing a war cry when he saw Yugyeom already escaping the mansion through the main door, running for his life.
"Wait here you bitch!" The older followed him outside, hot on his trail.
"No, I'm too handsome to die and so young-- Tae! Hyung is so very happy to see you back-- but he has to leave now for the sake of his beautiful face-- see you soon my boy!!" Yugyeom called out dramatically before his form disappeared from sight, making Taehyung sigh.
