After indulging in a satisfying meal prepared by Meiqi and Xuanyi, the three women sought to uplift Yuqi's spirits by crafting her favorite dishes. Yuqi's love for food was well-known, and they hoped that these simple yet thoughtful gestures would bring her solace following the recent grocery store incident.

They sat side by side on the sofa, engrossed in their favorite Korean variety show, "Two Days and One Night." Yuqi's furrowed brow betrayed her confusion as she gazed at the TV screen.

"I just don't understand," she voiced her perplexity.

"Are you referring to the show or Soyeon?" Xuanyi replied, her eyes fixed on the screen as well.

Sighing, Yuqi admitted, "Soyeon."

Xuanyi, munching on popcorn, chimed in, "I can't wrap my head around it either. How is it possible for her to have lost her memory after an accident?"

Meiqi offered a plausible explanation, "It makes sense if she indeed had an accident."

"But she doesn't look like someone who's been in an accident," Xuanyi countered, skepticism lacing her words.

"It may have been a long time ago... or perhaps it happened on the wedding day," Meiqi mused, her gaze shifting towards Yuqi.

In Yuqi's mind, a scene unraveled where she imagined Soyeon getting hit by a vehicle after she left her at the church. Guilt gnawed at her, blaming herself for Soyeon's misfortune.

Meiqi, sensing Yuqi's distress, moved closer and comforted her with a gentle back rub. "We'll help you talk to Soyeon again. You're not alone in this."

Xuanyi joined them, offering words of encouragement. "Perhaps when she learns who you are to her, she'll regain her memory. Stay hopeful, my friend."

Grateful for her their support, Yuqi expressed her appreciation. "Thank you, I don't know what I'd do without you."

"We're here for you because we care about you," Xuanyi reassured, resting her head on Yuqi's shoulder.

Encouraged by their love and support, Yuqi's smile returned. "Yes, let's work together and face tomorrow with strength."

With soothing tones, Meiqi guided them towards rest, "Let's get some sleep. Tomorrow is a new day, and we'll face it together."

"An accident, huh," Youngji mused, holding a bowl of cereal as she settled down, facing Soyeon. Youngji, who is Soyeon's friend and assistant, observed the situation with curiosity.

"That's just my excuse," Soyeon responded casually as she placed the freshly washed vegetables into the fridge.

"But did she believe you?" Youngji inquired.

"I don't know, and frankly, I don't care if she believes me or not," Soyeon nonchalantly shrugged.

Youngji expressed her frustration, "It's so convoluted. You could have simply said, 'I hate you,' 'you're cruel,' 'you're a monster,' instead of... 'Who are you?' That's the weakest excuse I've ever heard."

"I was taken by surprise, Ji. Who wouldn't be in that situation? She showed up out of the blue, like someone returning from the dead. That's why I had no option but to feign amnesia, a plan I had devised long ago in case our paths crossed again, to deter her from bothering me," Soyeon explained calmly.

"You must tread carefully, Soyeon. You might expose yourself to more pain," Youngji cautioned.

"That won't happen. You remember what she did to me two years ago. I won't let her disrupt my peace again," Soyeon asserted confidently.
