"Oh, how punk you look," I said to my best friend, Braeden, who was in the process of spiking his hair with gel. He didn't usually do this, but he lost a bet, so now he has to go on stage looking like a punk edit.
But, we were at Warped Tour, so I guess no one would mind.
Once he was done, he grabed his guitar and walked out of the dressing room to wait backstage for the time to play the opening song. It wasn't his concert, though. He was opening for my band.
I got ready and headed out to backstage to wait with him. When it was time, he ran out on stage with his guitar around his neck.
"How are you guys doing today?" He asked the crowd. They all screamed and he started the first song.
He and I were here for the whole Warped Tour this year. And my band and him were in the same tour bus. It was pretty crowded, but it was better than the van me and my band had on our first tour last year.
It was a white stickshift van with bunks in the back, and we still use it to travel, but for three months of Warped, we knew we would need something bigger. So Braeden got us all a tour bus.
After the opening song that Braeden provided, I got ready to run out on stage. I was alone this time, I had told my band I wanted to try something solo. They are back at the bus, and there was going to be a music track playing over the speakers.
I was about to run out on stage and start singing, but suddenly someone picks me up from behind and carries me out. I have no idea who it is, I look around for Braeden to see if it's him, but he's running off to go play his show at the Acoustic Basement part of Warped.
I start singing, because if didn't, I would miss the first words.
Whoever it is sits me on top of the guitar amp that's about five feet tall, and runs backstage. But I could tell who it was by his long, gazelle-like legs. Andy Biersack.
Andy and his band, Black Veil Brides, had invited me and my band to go on tour with them last year, so that's what we did. Gun To The Head's first tour was with the band that we all grew up with, the band that helped us through so much. And we were close enough to all members of the band to be able to call them friends.
Andy said before he left for tour that Warped Tour and his band's tour would cross paths in some cities, and that we should come to each other's concerts a few times.
I finished the fifth song and called a break to see if Andy wanted to come out on stage with me, but when I went backstage, he wasn't there. I guessed he had to get back to his tour. 'Oh Well' I thought to myself as I made my way back to the stage to finish the show, 'he must've had to get back to his own band.'
But I was very wrong.
Hi! So how do you like the story so far? It's the first time I've ever really tried to write an actual story, so don't expect it to be pefect. I don't know when I will update it, I'll try to do it every three days, but I can't promise anything. So, I hope you have enjoyed it so far, I'll see you in the next chapter!
