Long live love

Chapter 5

When I woke up I felt terrible, my head was pounding and I didn't see Sam anywhere.  The only person there was my dad. He turned away from his work when heard me moving around.  "Hey kid how ya feeling?" He asked.
"Awful, but where is Sam," I said.
"He is with Steve, but I have a question for you." He said
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Who are you?" He asked
"Well if you really must know I'm your daughter." I said
"Ah, I knew you looked familiar." He said turning away.
"What do you mean you haven't seen me since I was little." I said
"Yes but you look just like your mother, and have that same look of determination." He said turning back to me.
"Why did you leave us anyway?" I asked
"To protect you," he said.
"By leaving!" I yelled
Just then Steve walked in and whispered something in my dads ear. Tony walked out leaving me and Steve alone. "How are you feeling?" Steve asked.
"I've been better," I said looking up to see him staring at me.
We looked each other in the eyes I went in his head the I saw it, I saw how he died he was one of the lucky ones, he seemed to die of old age. "Your lucky," I said looking at my feet.
"And why is that?" He asked.
"You die of old age," I said.
"How do you know?" He asked.
"In your head." I said looking up.
"Sam told me what happened to you, I'm sorry you went through that." He said
"Don't be." I said angrily.
I hate when people act like they care. After that he just turned around and left leaving me alone. I slowly tried to stand up realizing how weak I actually was. I managed to stand for a few seconds falling to the ground after trying to stand on my own. Seconds after I fell Steve and Sam ran in. I had managed to sit up against some equipment. "Leah you need to stop doing this to yourself, you need to rest your to weak to leave." Sam said walking towards me
"Sam I can't stay in the lad, I spent almost all of my childhood in a lab and I still get nightmares!" I yelled tears streaming down my cheeks. Sam bent down and hugged me. We stayed in the hug for about ten minutes I let go. Steve walked over and tapped Sams shoulder then gestured him to the opposite side of the room. After a few minutes they walked back over to where I was. "Well Leah you can stay in Steve's room until your better, and no you don't have a choice." Sam said
