Hey whoever you are. Thanks for reading this, it really means a lot to me.
I would like to know, however, what you think of it after you read it.
So if you could be so kind as to comment in the little boxy things below that would be really awesome.
I need constructive criticism, so if you have anything that I have overlooked that you would like to point out to me, feel free to do so.
I hope that I haven't bored you too much with my "This is my first story on wattpad, so be nice to me" introduction.
And anyways, My name is Brianna, as my username says. And I wrote this story.

Chapter One.
“That would be five dollars and fifty cents.”
I forged a smile handing the man the receipt and change as he reached for his cup of coffee and doughnut on the counter.
He took it gingerly while taking a sip of his coffee; and without a word walked out the door into the parking lot.
A blast of frigid February air met my face giving me goosebumps on my bare arms.
I sighed. I really hate my job. I wasn’t anyone at my workplace, just another cashier, just another teenager trying to earn some spending money.
Who would notice a five foot-four, skinny blonde girl working at a small town Dunkin Donuts?
So why would people notice me; a commoner? I’m just a boring high school junior with no elaborate past; and in their minds, no bright future.
I sat down on the floor behind the counter, eyeing the racks of doughnuts in front of me. My gaze drifted over to the chocolate glazed ones.
My stomach rumbled loudly reminding me of how long it’s been since my last meal.
I debated in my mind whether I should take one or not. The warm white sugary coating on the pastry made me second guess myself.
I am really hungry.
But on the other hand I really needed the money; I didn’t need to be spending it on snacks.
But I’m starving! My mind retorted as I gazed longingly at the inviting chocolate fudge. Wow, I really need to get a life.
All previous thoughts vanished as I heard someone above me clearing their throat pointedly, as if to grab my attention.
I jumped up from my spot quickly recovering my cheerful facade as I went. “Hello, welcome to Dunkin’ Donuts. How may I help you?” I said trying to sound peppy but failing.
I looked up at my customer. He was a boy, no older than eighteen.
I blushed and looked down quickly at the register.
Then I saw the note card that my manager Cara had left me, scrawled in neat cursive letters.
It read “Ally remember, LOOK PEOPLE in the EYES and be FRIENDLY. –Cara”
I sighed and looked back up at him; eye contact was so not my thing.
A lopsided smile was on his face giving me the impression that he was easygoing, not one to rush into things.
