*The next day*

"You guys were so about to fuck," Cely laughed, I looked down in embarrassment.

My brother Kai burst into my room, "Fuck who?".

Why does this man always figure out some way to get into my business?

Cely and I looked at each other signing a mental non-disclosure agreement

"Fuck who?" My brother repeated, his arms crossed in curiosity as he entered my room,

"Some guy at the club," Cely said in a rush, bitch broke our mental non-disclosure agreement faster than any self-sabotaging Hollywood actor.

Cely has a massive crush on Kai, however, I don't get it. Kai is a fuckboy; he will fuck anything that moves and gives him the attention he believes he deserves. My brother arched his slit eyebrows, he shoots us a sly smile.

"Come on little sis, you know the rules," my brother said.

"Yeah, no fraternising with people on the outside," I recited like a zombie.

My brother nodded his head while flexing his arms, showing off his bulging muscles. "My lecturing task for the day is done," my brother said nonchalantly, "Any of you wanna hit up the club tonight?" My brother continued.

"Nah, I'm good," I replied before being pinched sharply by Cely, she shot me a look saying 'I want to get your brother drunk and you need to go see Rafe again'

"You know what, I will come," I mumbled with a frown on my face

"Aight, I'll see you there," my brother said before winking at Cely

"Don't frown, Luna, you look like an old woman," Cely laughed

I tried to continue frowning and give Cely side eyes, but I could not contain my excitement, I might just get to see Rafe tonight also Cely's laugh is just too funny to not guffaw at.

-------

I enter the dining room, my heels making a click-clack sound that announced my presence and reminded all in the room of the power of female dominance. Each and every person swivelled their heads to look at me. As I pulled my chair out to take a seat at the table it made a shrieking sound, it kind of sounded like the police officer that I just killed last pleas and screams...I looked down and smiled to myself before taking a seat.

"We were waiting for you," my mother revealed, looking directly at me. Her thin eyebrows were raised to signify her disappointment in my lateness.

"I'm here now," I said shortly

"And that is all that matters my dear," my father said sensing the increasing tension between me and my mother. "Welcome to the first family dinner of this month," my father continued.

My mother stood up from her chair readying herself to give a lengthy and unnecessary speech

"Well, this is going to be long and treacherous," I whispered to my cousin Beth

She laughed.

"Family dinners are an important time, it is a time for us to enjoy the aspect of a familial unit," my mother acknowledged "Family does not have to be about blood relations, because sometimes blood isn't thicker than water," my mother said while looking at Cely and her adopted family and our multiple suppliers who weren't blood, "However family is about the long-lasting and forever living bonds that we create with one another that causes us to be related, so let us raise our glasses to remember the fallen and wish to be forever prosperous."

Everyone raised their glasses and shouted "Hurrah" including myself.

Beth and I indulged in a long but interesting conversation about business while our parents and the other family members ate and were merry.

"So, girl, how are you?" Beth asked

"Huh, what did you say?" I questioned, the combination of loud music and the voices and hearty laughter of family members made it hard for me to hear her question. Sometimes I ask myself why father calls it family dinner when it's more like a family rave.

Beth shook her head before grabbing my arms and leading me towards the bathroom where we could hear the faint sound of music and laughs.

"Ugh, these dinner's give me a headache," I complained weakly

Beth rolled her eyes

"You don't get tired of the club though," Beth says nonchalantly

"Nope," I replied quickly, " I don't have to see my judgemental ass mum," I continued

"Oh my, I swear I could feel the tension," Beth laughed

"It was suffocating," Cely added while joining the conversation

"Celery," shrieked Beth, Cely embraced Beth, kissing both sides of her cheeks.

"So, the whole gang is back together," I smiled

"No... not really," my brother responded, entering the room with Lee and Dylan

"Oh my gosh Lee, Dylan and Kai" Beth said in awe, "This really is a family reunion"

"Oh, for fuck's sake..." I muttered under my breath.

Lee, Dylan, and Kai, my three overprotective older brothers in the same room as me...this is going to be a delightful night.

I haven't seen Lee and Dylan for over a year. Lee, my oldest brother was out pursuing his rockstar dreams, he is doing pretty well for himself, I mean he had to; the amount of strings dad pulled for Lee to get a deal with some of the biggest producers in the US was time-consuming, living in the UK and trying to make music that can go mainstream is one tough son of a bitch. Dylan is the second eldest and an accountant for our organisation, he is tech-savvy and can hack into government intel and delete all their information on us, cleaning up loose ends without any traces leading back to the organisation, he is the nerd of the family but has his own set of issues to deal with, baby mama issues.

Kai and I are always home, keeping everything in order.

Kai is the last boy and the second youngest. Kai trains all those that come into our organisation from the outside, we only choose 10 outsiders every 4 years. Those who join from the outside are usually street-smart people but broke because of their lack of brain, they usually have many connections but have no idea of how to use them. We offer them money, a house, and a new family...Cely was one of those who swore at the age of 14 to join and serve the organisation but also be part of a massive family that would be loyal and protect her no matter what, as long as she kept to the rules.

I may be the youngest, but I maintain the infamous reputation of our organisation, ensuring that every issue that comes our way is dealt with swiftly and ruthlessly.

"Hey sis," Dylan said while squeezing the living daylights out of me.
